Goodnight

Nagi was stretched out across the couch, lightly napping after a mission that had left him bruised and aching. It was 12:45am, which meant that Crawford and Schuldig had been discussing their next mission for nearly two hours. Nagi listened detachedly as their conversation escalated into an argument. The voices warped in Nagi's mind. Schuldig was throwing peanuts into Crawford's favorite coffee cup from across the kitchen while a Tot-haired Brad read the paper aloud.

The soft thump of feet coming down the stairs became the sound of speaker feedback from the T.V. and Nagi dreamed that he got up and hit the power button.

The rustle of cloth and footsteps coming toward him was an elephant dragging its trunk along the floor as it walked through the apartment. Probably going for those peanuts Schuldig was throwing around in the kitchen. But no, the ceiling wasn't high enough for an elephant, Crawford had said so. Nagi twitched as his mind made the connection. Farfarello.

Now that he thought about it... Nagi could hear the soft metallic sound of his earrings as they clinked against each other, and the sound of the tough leather strap that bound his legs as it trailed along on the floor. His legs...

His legs.

Nagi gasped lightly. He could hear Farfarello's breathing. He could feel Farfarello's breathing as it disturbed his hair. Vaguely Nagi wondered if Schuldig had stopped throwing peanuts around the kitchen. He felt the soft warmth of Farfarello's breath on his cheek and the soft press of lips against the corner of his mouth.

Gradually the soft, warm pressure withdrew, and Nagi heard the rustle of cloth and footsteps going back toward the stairs. He found the energy to mumble.

"It's soft...Always..."

He heard Farfarello pause, then reply, "Goodnight, Nagi."

Nagi listened as Farfarello's footsteps went up the stairs, and as Schuldig stormed out of the kitchen and out of the house, and he wondered if Farfarello always gave him a goodnight kiss.

(end oneshot)

Hi all! Morbid Knight 'ere! This is just a quick little drabble I had cooked up in my brain that I decided to get put down. Consider it an apology present for taking so long to update Catch Me and City: Tokyo. Crit is especially welcomed, even tho I don't expect to get any.
