"A Sirius Confession"
Sirius' house was back in use as the HQ of the Order of the Phoenix. Harry had just arrived after his last stay with the Dursleys, and everyone was pitching in cleaning up after his party. Harry was putting away a pitcher in a high cupboard when he noticed a folded piece of parchment underneath a chocolate coloured mug. He pulled it out and saw the name "Moony" written in Sirius' handwriting.
"Remus!" he called "I've found something."
"What is it Harry?" Remus came into the kitchen with Tonks close behind.
"It's this parchment; it has your name on it." Harry held it out.
Remus took it and paled slightly "Sirius' handwriting…" he sat down at the table and slowly opened it.
My dear Moony,
If you're reading this then most likely I'm dead and I feel I need to confess something to you. I've wanted to tell you for so long but then I was arrested, then I had to be on the run and then we had to gather the members of the Order. There was never a right time. I thought maybe I'd have a chance once we were in the house but I saw how much my little cousin seems to like you and I figured I shouldn't tell you. I decided to wait tell my deathbed and if you never have the chance to talk to me on my deathbed this letter will have to do. If you die before me I will tell you on your deathbed. But if you're reading this then I'm dead and I've left everything to Harry, everything except one thing, my heart. My heart, I leave to you. I love you Remus John Lupin, I always have. I know you're straight but you need to know. I wonder often what would have happened if you weren't and we got together-wolves mate for life you know, not that we'd produce any offspring. We would have had a great life once my name was cleared, we could have settled in San Francisco. I love you Remus and I will always love, please don't hate me for it.

Remus shakily stood up "Excuse me" he said to Harry and Tonks "I need to be alone for a bit." As soon as he was out of sight of anyone, he rushed to Sirius' room and slammed the door behind him. "Oh, Sirius…" he broke into tears and threw himself on Sirius' bed, "I love you too"
