Urgh!!!! If there's one thing that i hate in life (other than Heather) it's math. What's the point? i mean i get the adding and subtracting but really, other than that is there really any need for the stuff??? Pointless...but as Marrisa is so fond of reminding me it was math that kinda sorta brought Casey and me together? closer? somthing like that anyway. Yes i know. Math? Totally unromantic. But i dont know if it was really a ROMANTIC thing that happened. It was more of a...something. Well anyway i was sitting in the caf. doing my math hw with my friends relentless chattering going on above my head.

"Whatcha doing?" came a voice. I looked up ready to bite off the head that DARED to talk to me while i was doing---oh. Well. That changes things.

"Im trying to do this blasted math homework that's what!" I snapped at Casey.

"Whoah, there. Sorry. Didnt know it was a touchy thing." he replied, backing away slightly.

I sighed. "Im sorry. I just cant get the hang of this stupid stuff!"

"Hey it's not that hard. Here you want me to help?" He asked.

Silence reigned over my table. "Umm...sure i guess..." as i blushed like the total idiot i am.

"Good luck on that!" Marissa snickered. "We've been trying to 'help' for years but she just doesnt get it!"

"Yes i do! Im just a bit slow!"

"Nuh uh."

"Yuh huh"

"Nuh uh"

"Yuh huh"

"Nuh----"

"Hold it there girls! Let me take a shot at it. I may succeed...ya never know!"

I blushed again as Casey slid into the seat next to me. He peered over at my paper. "Why...this is only point-slope intercept form with a bit of long division, distributive property and multiplication! It's not that hard!"

I simply gaped at him.

"Look...this is what you do here...and here...then this...and this...multiply x by the number of y in this part...and 25 by 6t plus 8...and there you go!"

"Wow, Casey, you're a really good teacher!" Dot exclaimed.

"Thanks...somtimes i tutor i couple of kids..."

I simply sat there, trying to process what i just learned. Nope. Not gonna happen.

"From the look on your face im guessing that you didnt get that huh?" Casey said.

I sat there shaking my head.

"Well, if you want, after school i can tutor you for about an hour..."

I nodded, blushing even more furiously if that was possible.

"Ok then see ya later!" He said, walking cheerfully away.

I sat there like a stone reveling in the fact that math isnt the best subject but it sure is interesting!
