Date
"I'm going now!" Her voice shrieked as she quickly finished combing her hair, then put the final touch, the flower he gave to her. Her tiger striped dress fresh and sparkling.
"Wait, what! Eep where are you going?" He puts his rock journal down as he gets up to walk towards her.
"Dad it's fine, I'm going out with Guy." She smiles as she fluffs up her hair one last time.
"Where to?" He raises an eyebrow as he crosses his arms.
"He calls it a date." Her hands are held together as she pushed her shoulders together in the process, smiling brightly.
"I don't like that." He frowns as his eyebrows gather in the center of his forehead creating a caterpillar-like appearance.
"We'll be fine sir, I'll be sure to have her back by dusk." Guy comes out from the jungle, with a new pair of pants and shoes on, his hair combed back, revealing his gentle brown eyes.
His face clean and his body washed of all paint, no tie-strings on his arms, just flesh.
"Good man, you just mind your distance." Grug grunts, not sure to trust him too much, but just enough.
"Ya ya dad. See you, don't wait up for us!" Eep ran over to Guy, pressing up against him as she grabbed an arm and began to drag him with her, until he finally waved and went along willingly.
Ugga came from behind Grug, seeing her daughter off as she waved, while Grug put his hands down after he shouted after them.
"Be careful!"
"Have a nice time honey." She waved one more time, making sure her words are also heard from afar.
"Ugga!" Grug didn't like how trusting she was of Guy.
"What? They're not children anymore." Ugga grabed Grug as she walked him back home.
"Finally, we're alone." Eep tightened her grasp on Guy's hands.
"Eep, do you think you could try not to break my hands?" He grunted out in pain.
"Sorry." She dropped his hands as she began to walk forward, she would always forget how strong she was.
"No, it's fine. I'm just not very good with handling pain." He reached out and grabbed her hands and looked into her soft green eyes.
He was smiling and felt himself lean into her, his forehead resting on hers, his breath and hers becoming intermingled as their fingers were intertwined. Finally, his lips found hers and it was as if the world had stopped. When they parted, they felt dizzy, as if they had left Earth, run a marathon, and somehow ended up back in their bodies but didn't know how to function in them.
"What was that?" Eep asked, finally catching her breath.
"I don't know." Guy looked down at her again, this time his face became hot, his hands trembling, and his stomach flipping.
"Let's give it a name." Eep said as she leaned in for a hug.
"Sure, how about . . . kiss."
"Kiss?"
"Because it rhymes with bliss."
"Which means something really good right?"
"Precisely." He hugged her and they walked into the jungle, finding a large tree that led up to Tomorrow, where Guy set up the means of a campfire and a tent for the night.
"Will they be mad?" He asked as he brought Eep into his chest.
"Probably." Eep said as she yawned one last time, falling asleep in his arms.
"Is it worth it?"
"Hmm?" Eep looked up at him, and smiled. She leaned into him and gave him one last kiss goodnight.
"What do you think?" She asked as she pulled away, observing his reddened cheeks.
"Definitely."
