Olivia giggled into the phone, waiting anxiously for the person on the other line to answer. Sure it was five AM on a Saturday, and sure, he was probably sleeping, but she figured he wouldn't mind. The ringing continued for a few more seconds, as she took another hearty swig from the bottle.
" Wh.. Liv? Come on.. It's.. " He squinted as his clock and groaned. " It's barely five? Cap got a case? Liv?" There was silence, all he could make out was the muffled shuffling of feet. He waited for a brief moment before making his way out of bed and across the room. " Liv…" His voice came in a harsh whisper, when he finally made out something.
" Elliot! I…" another pause. He decided to ride it out. And then: " I just wanted.. to.. to tell you that you're hot. God, you're so sexy!"
What the….
He thought his jaw was gonna break off of his own face. What did she just say? He clears the dry lump forming in his throat before attempting to speak again.
" W..What? Liv.. Are you drunk or something?" He mumbled, half sincere. He had to admit, although he was desperately confused at this point, he was also thoroughly enjoying this conversation (or lack thereof anyway). Hell, he enjoyed hearing what was coming out of her mouth.
" You heard me," More shuffling. " you are one hot hunk of man Stabler." And she says it with a tone low enough to send fire roaring beyond his belt; a slight growl in her voice.
Fuck, this wasn't supposed to turn him on.
All the while, the chuckle he had been containing ruptured into a hearty laugh now, as he reveled in liv's inebriated state.
"Liv.. I'll be right there," he managed to get out eventually.
" I'll be waiting. On the bed." He was sure his jaw flew off this time.
" Be right there."
Elliot, already dressed, tiptoed downstairs and towards the door. He should've felt guilty for assuring Kathy would wake up alone yet again. But then again, he'd come up with some sort of excuse later on. New case, cap called us in…. Anything. He was sure she wouldn't question him.
Right now, he needed to see his partner.
