Tough Luck For Destiny
She was only looking for someone to admire. Just a little crush. Physical stuff. Nothing too serious.
I saw you smiling at me,
was it real or just my fantasy?
There. Explained through two lines of a song.
She merely saw him grin, not directly at her, but she thought back then that he gazed at her..a nano-second stare.
And she loved those eyes. Those curved lips that for a moment belonged to her.
At least that's what she opted to believe.
But she was witty enough to know better. He had someone else to offer that smile to.. someone else to fix that beautiful amber eyes on.
A Chinese girl with long, straight, shiny black hair.
She has been seeing them together for god-knows how long. In very kind of together. Happily walking together, laughing at each other-together, looking at each other-together..just...happy together. Together. Even though she was only updated by the rumors around her, her eyes were already certain about what she saw. And she could only roll her eyes.
For who was she to intrude on their lives?
She was nothing more than a pure stranger who watched them from the outside.
But only if she swam deeper in those hypnotizing brown orbs..she would've felt that there was a certain thing camoflauged in them.
xoxoxo
Just a crush. That's all it'll ever be.
I don't want him as a boyfriend.
It's a tiny admiration. That's it.
And that's all it'll ever be.
But he haunted her. In her sleep, in her room, he was everywhere she looked.
Silly as it may sound, one time she borrowed her bestfriend's digicam to spy on him. Miles away from them, she zoomed the camera just enough for her to take a photo of his wonderful structure. And funny how she felt pricky when she saw the outcome, he was not alone. He was with his inspiration, again.
She couldn't help but compare herself with the girl. Sure, the latter had a nice face and had silkier hair compared to her own short, messy, light brown nest..but she was undoubtly cuter, and smarter, and sexier, and.. so somehow she had something to show-off to the Chinese brat. Brat, because Sakura Kinomoto was two years older than Meiling Li.
Sadly, the cliche says, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
In this case, we may give another cliche to the beholder which goes like, 'love is blind'.
xoxoxo
Syaoran Li--They just had to share the same surname, didn't they? Tough luck, Meiling. Yes, as far as she have researched, that's what they call him. It sounded a bit funny, with the Little Wolf-ish meaning connected to it. But somehow, she found themselves even, with her having to live the name Cherry Blossom all her life.
On mid-November they had this little Home Economics bazaar at school. She was one of the few students who took charge of their booth. Their stall was placed near the freshmen's building--where Syaoran usually expects his girlfriend-to-be to appear. The whole time he was waiting there, she took that chance to snatch glimpses of him. If only the items would've been sufficiently considerate as to not fall and roll aimlessly, Sakura didn't have to bend down and not notice him watching her.
to be continued.

cough I'm thinking of making this one shot. But my consentration suddenly ran outside and flowed with the friggin' rain. Oh well. I'll edit later if I get reviews. Haha. If I don't then I wouldn't bother organizing this story. I'll continue writing for my own amusement.
Thanks for wasting your time on reading this. Though I'd really appreciate reviews too. ;)
