An Guild Hunter fanfiction

Missjulia: Okay, so I don't no why I'm writing an author's note that I don't even think I'm going to post. I guess this is for you, Kavita. And if I do post it, well then, hello readers and welcome to 1531. Umm... so this is a fanfiction for the Guild Hunter Saga (Angel's Blood, Archangel's Kiss and the soon-to-be-released Archangel's Consort) by Nalini Singh. I love the books and suggest you read them... if you can handle a little gore and sex. If not, buzz off. There might be some of that later in this story. Also, I don't really know where Im going with this. And it disregards Archangel's Consort. And... and... yeah.

Kayla: Missjulia. Shut the fuck up and let them read! They'll figure it out!

Missjulia: Jesus, Kayla... fine. Anyways, the pairing is Illium/OC and I don't own this. Thanks and enjoy.

Footsteps on a quiet path.

"I know you're there, stop hiding."

Wings rustling.

"Oh you do, do you?"

His eyes on me, piercing. Seeming to look straight into my soul.

"Yes."

"How?"

Pure curiosity in his voice. I sighed and looked up, meeting strange, beautiful golden eyes.

"I'd rather not tell you, if I can help it."

"I could always make you."

I rolled my eyes.

"You and what army?"

He stopped walking and I followed, looking at him. He flared out a single blue and silver wing and tugged a piece of blue-tipped-black hair.

"Oh. So you're Illium, hmm? I've heard about you."

"Yes. So, answers, or I will apply force."

Thoughts buzzed through my head as I made a swift decision, hoping it was the right one.

"I'm an angel."

"Where are you wings?"

"Hidden."

His expression changed to mild confusion, then he shook his head.

"Perhaps that's why Raphael sent me to follow you. An odd talent."

My eyes shot to him. That had startled me.

"Raphael himself gave the order? Not that strange vamp... Dmitri? Or someone else?"

"Of course. No one else, not even Dmitri, has the authority to order me around."

The haughty answer made me roll me eyes in amusement despite my lingering shock.

"Whatever you say."

"Shut up."

"Gladly. Now I don't have to talk about myself, spy."

"I- wait. Shit."

I laughed and, after a moment, he joined me, our laughter ringing in the now-broken silence that filled the air in the streets around my apartment.

Missjulia: That was short. Oh well, the next chapter will be available soon! R&R!
