Sanity
A/N: Hm… well, this is actually an original poem, but I thought that it was twisted enough to share as a Higurashi story. So if it seems kinda weird, sorry.
Constructive criticism is accepted and very much appreciated! This is rated T for TEEN due to creepyness. People of the internet, you have been warned. RENA POV.
DISCLAIMER: I do not own Higurashi or anything else famous that people may have heard of before reading this. All I own is the story.
Sanity.
What an imaginary word,
A fake word, "Sanity" is.
This word is seen as shield to some,
A blanket to hide under when the monsters of folly come out,
A pillow to comfort them when the truth is forced out,
And this is the truth:
None of us are truly sane.
It's impossible,
Unheard of,
Absurd!
But this is a matter many forget,
Something that they must be reminded of,
A task I happily enjoy.
How, you say?
It's simple:
I write.
I use my silver pen,
My crimson ink,
And my paper.
"If a knife is your pen and blood is your ink,"
Many ask,
"Than what is your paper?"
"Isn't it obvious?"
I laugh,
"I write on your flesh!"
A/N: If you ever wanted to read an original, there it was! At first, I wasn't actually thinking of Higurashi, but when I was trying to think of a way to adapt it to a fan fiction, Higurashi seemed the easiest route. (I didn't even have to change anything!) Please leave a review! I'd like to know what you think!
