When Sora is fifteen and still awkward when it comes to girls, each smile she sends his way makes his heart flutter in his chest and he's not entirely sure why. She's not like Kairi, not in the ways that really matter, and she's definitely nothing like one of those girls the boys on Destiny Islands fawn over like Heartless over a heart.

He knows she's older than him, but not by much—he suspects that there's only a few years difference between them, perhaps a bit more; she's never specified and he's never asked—and he knows that despite what he dreams sometimes, she'll never look twice his way. But Aerith is really nice when it matters, stern kindness when she needs to be, and…

And his palms start to sweat whenever she gets too close, and his breath catches in his throat when her arm accidentally brushes against his in his visits to her kitchen. He finds himself sometimes doing things just to make her toss that smile of hers his way one more time, like telling (slightly) embarrassing stories from his adventures when she's sitting across from his with a glass of lemonade.

At fifteen, Sora is a slave to his hormones.

And they are a slave to her.
