"Come on, you!"

A small, golden brown lioness was chasing a butterfly, across the plains of the pride lands. Her face was lit up with glee, as she joyfully pranced through the grass, until someone interrupted her.

"Sinnea, sweetie…"

It was her mother's voice. The sweet ring over her mother's voice attracted the cub back to pride rock, to please her mother. Sinnea was a very obedient cub, who loved to please Kiara, who was her mother. She ran up to her mother's feet, and obediently seated herself right below Kiara's chin, and waited patiently.

"Sinnea, we have something to tell you," Kiara said, chuckling. Sinnea's eyes twinkled, and the look in her face said: "Oh boy!"

"Very soon, you're going to have a little brother or sister," Kiara informed her daughter, hoping for an excited glance to be returned. But Sinnea didn't seem too happy.

"But mom! They aren't gonna be QUEEN, are they?" She asked. Sinnea had her hopes up, and could not wait to be queen. The word "Queen" made her dance with joy, twirling round and round, making sure everyone knew that SHE, Sinnea, was going to take that position when she was older. She was definitely proud of it.

"Oh Sinnea, you're still going to be queen," Kiara reassured her daughter. Sinnea lowered her glance to Kiara's stomach, which was surprisingly large. It hung down very low, and was very wide. There was definitely someone in there.

Sinnea rubbed against the stomach, and felt something. A tiny nudge, that struck her by surprise. She smiled. She would have to teach that baby some things of her own.

Kovu suddenly came up beside his wife and daughter. "Did you hear the news?" Kovu asked. Sinnea nodded proudly, and stuck out her chest in triumph. Kiara smiled.

Kovu rubbed against Kiara, and licked her on the top of the head. "Run along, Sinnea," he hinted. Sinnea ran off, in search of the butterfly.

Thoughts about this new baby were swirling in Sinnea's head. Would it be a girl or a boy? Would it be nice or mean? Will mom and dad like it better than me? The thoughts excited and worried Sinnea at the same time. But there was one thought that stuck to Sinnea's head like a tack on the bulletin board. It was coming, and there was no stopping it.
