Toccata - Fantasia

I love you, you love me, let's be happy.

But you're gone now, and there's no one to love me.

Can I join you?

His voice says he loves me... but I can't return it.

"I don't know... I just... don't know..." she whispered softly, feeling his arms wrap around her gently, grasping for something, anything, solid, "Ta-...Takuto? No! Let me go! Eichi is watching me!"

"Then I will not let you go!!" he grasping, holding her closer, "I'll be with you always. I'll always be with you... and always protect you."

He pulled her away from him, looking into her eyes. "I will be the one to prevent your death!" Then softly, he added, "I love you."

He loves me... save me. Save him!

There is nothing to love here, just a shell, what is there to love?

So empty... save him Eichi! Stop him!

I want him to be happy.

...does this mean I love him too?

Takuto watched her intently. Each action, each breath. She was deteriorating, she should be happy! She has love!

I have broken the forbidden wall, he thought, eyes shut, scorning tears, Eichi is taboo, her love is taboo.

She's killing herself for her love...a love that I want.

"One way of caring for her is waiting."

How long! I want her love, I want to care for her, I don't' want her to be in pain! his mind roared, prickling at his senses, as he continued to watch her. She was in pain, and he could only wait. I need her to be mine, not Eichi's!

He pinned her down, shocking her, but his heart was so heavy.

"I love you... I know you don't love me, but I need you, I will never leave you..." he whispered, grasping at straws.

"I don't like you..." she replied, sad. Eichi was too strong.

"Fine."

Takuto left the room, his heart in frenzy. He loved her so much, so much! Eichi was too strong... Takuto knew he could never replace Eichi.

"Why can't she love me, I'm here! I'm with her, Eichi is gone, he's dead!" he yelled, pounding the wall in front of him, "I'm here, I'm saving her!"

"Why can't she love me!"

I can't love him, I love you.

But I hurt him so, I don't want to... you're so cruel Eichi.

I hate them... they're trying to pull me away from you.

They say... they say it is because of the gap between our worlds.

But you're so... you're so real to me, you're so there, I need you, come back to me... I want to touch you...

I need to tell you I love you.

You are my fantasy.

Author's Note: Here are some definitions, since people probably aren't familiar with some of the words I used.

Toccata : a virtuoso composition for solo or ensemble that usually precedes a fugue

Fantasia : free instumental piece for solo or ensemble, usually precedes a fugue

Virtuoso : performer of extraordinary technical ability (instumental or vocal)

Fugue : popular form of music created in the Barque era, theme is introduced and then repeated throughout sections in an ensemble

Yeah, now to the real author's note . Hi, I'm Caelestis.Rain, aka Talis or Cielle, whatever you prefer. This will really jsut be a short series of small stories about the couples in FMwS. I love the series, I jsut bought the last two manga, and I've already read them a thousand times. Fantasia was the introduction, as was its purpose, and some of the content is taken directly from volume 4. Most of my stories go from there on, since most of the relationships start and end there.
