Drowning Worry
A/N: another angst story by the Myth Lord! Man I am shocking myself with all these new stories. If you have read my profile before go check it again. I left it open at my cousins house and he did that.
Summary: What is the true meaning of escape? Well you're about to find out Blaiseā¦
Once again he found himself walking through the empty hall ways of the school with a bag of disguised alcohol. The glass potion vials, filled to the brim with his favorite sapphire fire whiskey, were clicking together as he swiftly walked to his favorite spot in the castle. It was a long walk from his dungeon dorm but it was worth it. As he finally climbed his final step for the night he walked forward to hidden door on the seventh floor.
He walked as fast as he could without raising attention from the remaining student in the hall. He turned left where nobody but Gryffindors went. He was in the hallway that t he portrait of the Fat Lady was kept. He walked to the right side of the portrait where his hidden sanctuary was kept. He kneeled down facing the wall to the left of the portrait. He tapped his wand on the ground three times and whispered "Nirvana." A trap door was revealed and to his relief the magic combination lock was still there. He quickly unlocked the trap door and slipped in just before a few first years turned down the hall.
Below the trap door was a stair case where he now stood. He stayed at the top of the stairs, holding his bag, and taped the trap door once with his wand. A second after he heard his lock close on the door. He turned around and walked down the flight of stairs. At the bottom was a large circular room. There was a large bewitched window on one side of the room. Right below the window was a king size bed. At the foot of the bed was a stack of books and a magic proof mp3 player. In the center on the room was a half-circle shaped desk.
The room was lined with book shelves to the left of the window and two trunks to the right. Though is the room was used to escape his life there was still on symbol of it in the room, his name. It was written on his trunks and in the covers of some of the books. He looked at his own name and read it out loud with a hint of disgust in his voice "Blaise Zabini". He hated his name just less than he now hated his father. He sat down on the bed and looked at the window. He ordered the window to display the sky. The window changed from showing a nice view of the lake to displaying a star filled sky.
Blaise uncorked the first vial of the rare blue liquid know as sapphire fire whiskey and emptied it in one go. He began to think about his father. The one good thing the man had ever done for him was send him to Hogwarts; at least that's what Blaise thought. He downed another vial and decided to let his thoughts go. He reached for the prized mp3 player at the foot of the bed. He was one of the few Slytherins to enjoy muggle music. He turned the player on and at once Lake of Fire by Nirvana started to pour out of the headphones now on Blaise' ears.
This was his escape. He took all the worry and hurt that his father had given him and drowned it in expensive alcohol and grunge music. His life was unbearable without escape. The night when the Death Eaters attacked Hogwarts last year scared him. He saw his own father hidden by a mask blasting spells trying to destroy his first true love, his school. His best friend, Draco Malfoy, knew that the school was important to him and many others yet he led the Death Eaters in. Two people he thought he could trust back stabbed him. This is why he drowned his life way, to find an escape.
