Love was love and the young Egyptian Securty Chief knew that. It was hard to get her head around. For years she had this feeling in the pit of her stomach when around a certain doctor. But she couldn't act on it. For many reasons, one was because it was frowned upon in the Egyptain culture to be in a relationship with another women. Another was because of the age difference. Either way, Pharah couldn't act. As much as she wanted to it wasn't possible.

Time past and overwatch fell and no one saw anything of anyone. Pharah had the odd message from a few people like Reinhart. But they were few and far between. So she kept to what she loved the most and that was her job. Some days the hours would fly by. Others it went slow and boring. It was a simple life really now. But something was still missing.

As perfect and happy as Pharah's life seemed, she was always missing a big part. She wondered what life would have been like if Mercy had feelings for her. But it wasn't something she'd ever get the answer from. No matter how much she wanted it. Mercy was not on the radar. She was properly working in a hospital somewhere in the world and properly never even thinking of Pharah. But that never stopped Pharah. The Egyptian women thought about Mercy all day everyday. She wondered if she got tired walking around her mind all the time. But she knew it was all in her head.

A phone call came that she was needed on the front line of a battle that had started out. The day dream of Mercy had to wait, it wasn't like the women was going to show up in her life anytime soon. As Pharah got into her armour she found herself sighing as she looked in the mirror. She felt so lonely. So in need of knowing. No matter what happened, her heart would belong to a women who didn't even know.

As Pharah moved to leave the army base she looked back at her almost empty room and sighed. There was no point living a life of depression over a women who didn't even know. She told herself when she got back she would move on with her life. Locking the door behind her and flying up high once she was clear for take off, she knew she was lying to herself. She would never get over how beautiful Mercy was. And how she dreamed about her every single night. All she knew was that she needed to tell her, but when? Where? She was off the radar like so many others. Instead Pharah had to walk this life alone.

That was until she got the call…

Overwatch was reforming.
