For the 14 time Claire looked in the mirror. For the 14 time Claire questioned should she go. And for the 14 time Claire told herself it was worth it.
But what was worth it. Going on a date with Cam. They had been together for a month possibly there longest record without breaking up. And every time they had broken up, they had gotten back together. She loved Cam, even when he cheated on her with Olivia, she accepted him back.
She loved him or so she thought.
Grabbing her Forever 21 Jacket, and slipping on her Pay-less flats, Claire kissed her mother and climbed into the waiting car outside their guesthouse. Issac had offered to give Claire a ride, he had nothing else to do and he like Claire, she was nice and caring.
"Hello Issac" Claire said a smile on her face.
"Hello Claire ready for your date?" Issac was more of a father figure, than a driver always looking out for her.
"More than ready" She mumbled
Issac started the car and drove out of the Block's driveway. As he headed down the main row, all Claire could do was look at the passing trees. She had gotten Cam a C necklace, in honor of their names. It was there one month aniversity and he deserved something. As they approached the Fisher house, Issac let Claire out the car still running.
"Have fun Claire" Issac half-shouted as he drove away. Claire waved at the retreating car, before heading up the steps to the Fisher house.
Unlocking the door from the key under the eave she walked into the house. Heading up to Claire's house she heard moans, but brushed them off. Harris still lived at home and knowing him he hd a girl in the room with him. But how wrong she was.
Cam's door was opened just a crack and she opened the door, but whished she hadn't. There was Cam kissing none other than Oliva Ryan. The girl he said was just someone to distract
"Claire!" Cam shouted fixing his shirt. Olivia just mumbled something that sounded like "Come back"
"W-hhattt howww" Claire stuttered
"Th-this isn't what it looked like! Me an her..." Cam said pointing back and forth but before he could continue Claire cut him off.
"Again" She whispered. Dropping the box with the necklace she ran out of the room, tears poring down her cheeks. Running out of the house she cloapsed on the steps, her mascara running down her cheeks,
"Claire, Claire are you alright!" She heard this in the distance and looked up to none other than Josh Hotz, Cam's best friend.
"No" She once again whispered, she couldn't speak up, she didn't have the strength.
"Oh no did Cam..." Josh said trailing off. Claire nodded fresh tears running down her face.
"Claire your no good for him" He said rapping his arm around her sobbing figure. "You deserve someone better, someone that likes you for you"
Picking her head up, Claire noticed the closeness of her and Josh, leaning forward she gently kissed Josh, and to her suprise he kissed her back.
"W-hat about Alicia?" Claire asked "What about her, we have been broken up for two weeks, were done" Josh replied
"How long, how long have you like me?" Claire asked once again looking into his brown eyes
"Since you first broke up, about 14 times ago" Josh replied a blush coming onto his cheeks.
"14 times" Claire mumbled. Josh nodded hanging his head
"14 times, that I went back with Cam, when you were right here all along" Claire said. The new couple once again engaged in a kiss and walked from Cam's house hand n' hand.
The next day Cam came to school excepting Claire to come running back to him. But instead he saw his best friend and Claire engaging in a kiss. her blue eyes were locked onto his brown and she looked happy. Happier than she had been with him.
Olivia than ran up to him and kissed him, and he kissed back. Clarie and him were over, forever.
