Mion's Dying Thoughts
Summary: During Meakashi hen. As Mion falls to her death, her subconcious reflects on the happenings of the last two or three days.

I'm sorry, Shion.
I've lied to you so much; does being a member of the Sonozaki family mean that all of us are skilled liars? But that doesn't matter.
Yes, the Sonozakis were responsible for the murder of Satoshi. Ba-chan believed that the entire Houjou family was cursed, just as Kimiyoshi did; I'm pretty sure he told you that, and that's why you hung him. Satoshi had murdered his aunt on the night of the Watanagashi, and that took care of the person who had to die; we just had to use him as an Onikakushi.
Shion--you might not think we're similar in any way, other than the fact that we're twins. I'm the future head of the Sonozaki family, while you're my younger twin, shoved away at a private boarding school far from Hinamizawa--an ugly stepsister, if you please. But we are similar because we both have a demon inside of us; a demon that can take one little incident, no matter how big or small it is, and turn it into a desire for blood. Ba-chan had stirred the demon inside of me, and that made me want to play a part in Satoshi's murder, no matter how close he was to me.
Death by disembowlment; that's how Satoshi left us. I was the one who hammered the nails through his hands and handed the tools to Ba-chan's helpers. I also took the liberty of shoving his corpse into the well.
When I told you that I had never been in that well before, I lied; I actually have. There's a ladder that I climbed down so I could retrieve Satoshi's body. I stuffed it in a garbage bag, and sent it down the river. God knows where it is now, or if it even still looks like him. Those were my sins.
I'm sorry, Shion. Although Satoshi meant so much to me, Keiichi means more. I thank you for sparing his life, even though you were overcome by your bloodthirsty demon. I should have done the same for you, but I was blinded. Please, forgive me--
My time is up; my body is shattered.
