The question

The inspiration for this one came from an old episode of Babylon 5.
"Carter, I have a question for you," Jack said out of the blue.
They were sitting on a rock on SFX-0403 waiting on Daniel and Teal'c to finish deciphering a tablet that they had found in a near-by temple.
"What is it?"
"Ok, it's morning and you're getting ready for work. You pull on your pants, do you zip then button, or button then zip?"
"What?!"
"I'm just curious. Does everyone do it the same way, or is it a right hand, left hand thing? I think about things like this."
'If you think about things like this then you have too much time on your hands.
"Hey, it was just a question," Jack said with a pout.
"I didn't say I wouldn't answer it, just that it was a weird question."
"That's ok, you don't have to answer," Jack's pout deepened.
Sam sighed and grinned at Jack.
"Button then zip."
"Button then zip," Jack agreed.
"Want to talk shoes and socks?"
"No, we are not having this conversation, Jack."
"Just trying to pass the time," he sighed.
