I saw their eclipse
Nobody saw it but me. Never caught, never found out, never seen a spark of suspicion. But I saw what should have been seen. I heard what should have been heard. I was the only one who knew it all, the beguinning, the secret, the consequences and sadly, teh end. Why did no oone ever ask me? I knew it all. Sometimes I think i knew it before it had even started. Funny, isn't it?
They were like the moon and the sun. Very different yet very bright. She always said he was her personal sun and he said she changed like the moon. Everything became somewhat clearer to her with him around and she was his guidance in times of darkness. She loved feeling hs warmth and he would wait and entire day to catch a glimpse of her so very different yet so very bright. They complemented each other so much it was beautiful yet just like the sun and the moon they only came together on rare ocations.
I saw those eclipses. I saw their feelings, their desires. I saw their passions and their love. I saw it all. So strong their attachment yet so sharp their differences. Like the moon and the sun I saw how living in different realities would keep them apart. Then again their gravity, their growing attraction could somehow cut through their complications to make their meeting a beautiful event. I never saw more pretty a kiss or a hug or a look, than when they were together.
But just like the sun and the moon they were expected to keep on working even though they couldn't see each other. And so they did. He entertained young women and she faked to love most passionatly a man not worth her time. He upheld his family's honour by being cold and despiteful and she pretended to be quiet and serene when they were really much like the sun and the moon. We knew this. We knew how they were really like and I could only imagine how hard it was for them to live in a lie.
And just like an eclipse it didn't last long. A love that should have lasted forever only perdured for a short time. Too few the ocations, too heavy the pressures, too strong the binds that kept them apart finally broke their chains. No chance of breaking free from their obligations, no chance to love for eternity, no chance of acceptance or support finally broke their spirits and their afections. Soon, they grew apart, the couple whose love should have kept them together.
Ptiy, for I was in their meetings. I heard their feelings. I felt their love.
I saw their eclipses.
