A Doctor Who One-Shot
A/N: This is based off the Lady Antebellum song, "Goodbye Town." All rights to their team! Spoliers for "The Angels Take Mahattan"!
Enjoy!
The Doctor and River watched in horror as Rory's gravestone revealed a new name.
Amelia Williams.
He cried.
River walked over to him.
Soon enough, they were back in the TARDIS, with River manning the flight and the Doctor sat on the steps, a mix between distraught and angry.
Why did Amy do that?
" River. They were your parents."
River looked at the monitor.
"Sorry. I didn't even think."
"It doesn't matter."
The Doctor looked up, suprised. "Of course it matters, they were your parents."
"What matters is this, Doctor. Don't travel alone."
The Doctor looked up at River. "Travel with me, then."
Soon enough, River was walking out of the TARDIS.
Then, the Doctor remembered. "The last page!"
You'll be just a memory, in the back of my mind...
He went back one last time.
He read the page he had ripped out because he didn't like endings.
I see nothing, nothing but a goodbye town. The streets are only bringing me down.
"I can't erase the memories, I can't burn the whole place down."
He read the Afterward, and knew what he had to do.
He got out of the place he lost them, and to the place he met her.
Amelia Pond.
Love. She did it for love.
Why would he stay where he lost them?
It's nothing but a Goodbye Town.
A/N: How was that?
