Chapter 1
It was midnight in Philidelphia. Lilly Rush walked down the steps of the local bakery with her chocolate eclair in hand. She looked down both ends of the street. No one was there. Maybe just maybe, she could use her broomstick...
"Hey, Lil!" Lilly jumped out of shock and turned around to see Scotty and his three younger sisters, Nina, Alicia, and Ingrid walking along the street. "What brings you out here tonight? It's freezing!"
Damnit... Lilly thought. Now, I have to walk home.
"Ahaha..." Lilly chuckled nervously. "You know, just getting some eclairs!" She held up her bakery bag. "What about you?"
"Oh, Ingrid couldn't sleep, so Nina, Alicia, and I are just walking around with her until she gets tired."
Lilly looked at Ingrid. She was a spunky little 10 year old, and she loved money. In fact, from what Scotty had told Lilly at work, she always insisted on figuring out the family's budget. What a brilliant little girl. Lilly thought.
"Boy, the last time I saw you this late was when we were at my apartment, and..." Lilly was interrupted by Nina.
"WHAT?? YOU HAVE BIG BROTHER COME TO YOUR APARTMENT AT MIDNIGHT?! YOU WHORE!!"
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?! LET HIM LIVE HIS OWN DAMN LIFE!"
"Nina, calm down, we were just working on a case." Scotty reassured Nina. "Don't get all bent out of shape!"
"Sorry..." Nina looked down. What an over protective sister... Lilly thought. She never used to be like this... Lilly thought back to the time when Scotty had invited her over for a dinner party. Boy, that was when Nina idolized me...I guess people change when they turn 17...
Lilly turned her attention towards Alicia, the 13 year old. Alicia loved cooking, and exercising. She cooks meals for the family every night.
"Well, I gotta go..." Lilly turned around and sprinted down the street. After she was out of sight, she hopped on her broom and sped off towards her house.
