Aiden groaned as she rolled over and stretched. She definitely hadn't gotten enough sleep the night before, and she was going to pay the price for it today. Opening her eyes, she realized that she wasn't in her apartment - and then the night before came rushing back to her.

She had gone to dinner with Danny and Flack, to celebrate the closing of a case. Eventually though, Messer had wandered off after a cute brunette, and she had been left alone with Flack. they talked and laughed, ordering dessert and another round of drinks. When they were finished, and it was obvious that Danny wasn't coming back, Don insisted on waiting with her while she got a cab.

They hadn't been drunk, or even a little tipsy. As the cab pulled up and he opened the door for her, Aiden turned to say goodnight. His lips were on hers before she could get a word out, and she found herself kissing him back and moaning as he nipped at her bottom lip and slid his tongue into her mouth. She remembered something about his place being closer, and it didn't take a genius to figure out what they had spent the rest of the night dong. It had been fun, and the pleasant ache in her body told her that she had enjoyed every second of it.

But now she was in a quandary. Flack wasn't in the apartment - it was far too quiet. What she didn't know, however, was if he was coming back any time soon. He could have been called out to a scene, or just gone on a coffee run.

Aiden sighed. She wasn't upset about what had happened; truth be told, she was seriously attracted to Don Flack. But she had no idea how he felt, and that meant that she didn't know how to act the next time she saw him. Or was she supposed to call him? Groaning, she decided that for now she would just focus on getting out of bed. The other stuff was just going to give her a headache.

It only took a few minutes for her to find her clothes and put them back on, though she did have to hunt under the bed for her panties. Glancing at the clock, she saw that she had enough time to get home and shower before her shift. She moved out into the kitchen, frowning as she wondered if she should leave Flack a note or something.

Aiden couldn't help but smile, though, when she saw what was on the counter. A Ziploc baggie full of red skittles sat there, and under it was a note; she picked up the bag, idly eating the candy while she read what Flack had written.

Aiden -

Sorry I'm not there - got called out to a scene. Had a great time last night, though, and I promise I'm not bailing. can I take you out again tonight? Maybe without Messer this time. Let me know.

-Flack

P.S. Enjoy the candy. You're lucky I like you so damn much - it took forever to pick out all the red ones!

By the time she left the apartment, Aiden was grinning from ear to ear.
