Ginger hair
Summery; Ginny has been bullied in her first week at Hogwarts. But why?
It was dinner time in the great hall and every one was tucking into delicious a meal.
"Where's Ginny?" Harry asked Ron who was sitting opposite him eating a chicken leg.
"Don't know. Haven't seen her all day." Answered Ron. Looking up and down the Gryffindor table. Then going back to his food after not seeing her.
Hermione said "I think I may have seen her in the girl bathroom." From her place next to Ron. A puzzled look on her face. As she looked at where Ginny would be normally sitting. Next to the perfect prefect as Fred and George called him.
"I will check on her after dinner" added Hermione.
After dinner they all went to the Gryffindor common room.
Once they got there Hermione went up the girl's dormitory.
She climbed the spiral staircase that led to the dormitory. Then entered the dormitory to find it pitch black.
"Loumos" she said coursing the end of her light up.
She moved her wand slowly around the room to find the curtains drawn and some ginger hairs scattering the floor.
She turned to leave when she heard a soft sob in the corner where Ginny's bed was.
She walked to the corner to find Ginny lying to the bed with her face in her pillow, crying. Her just below shoulder length ginger hair looked like some one had made an attempt to cut it but failed. Up on closer inspection she saw that there was a slightly brownish tinge to some of her hair.
Then Hermione figured it out. Ginny had tried to dye the hair by magic. But ended up having cut it slightly.
"Ginny" She said in a soft voice. Sitting on the edge of Ginny's bed.
Ginny started and looked up to look into Hermione's eyes.
"Ginny, why did you try to dye your hair?" She said.
"Because the Sylverins were making fun of my hair. So I tried to dye it by magic. But it didn't work." Ginny replied then bust into tears.
Hermione put her arm around her friend to comfort her.
"Ginny, there is nothing wrong with having ginger hair. Look at your brothers. I bet they have been bullied loads of times about their hair. So why don't you let me fix it to its normal colour. Then we can go down stairs and enjoy the rest of the evening."
Ginny nodded at allowed Hermione to turn her hair back to it original colour and length.
They walked down stairs with their arms linked. They were joined by all of Ginny's brothers, Harry and Ron at the foot of the stairs.
"Ginny, there you are. We've been wondering were you've been hiding." Fred asked. Happy to see his sister.
"I've ….. Just been thinking." Ginny lied.
Hermione just smiled and sat with Ginny for the rest of the evening, doing their home work and chatting.
A few days later Ginny had been told by Hermione not to listen to the nasty comments the slyverins told her. Just ignore them.
And Ginny did ignore them and the slyverins gradually stopped bulling her and Ginny had a lovely school term.
The End.
