The crew cheered as the cannonballs hit their targets and the town started to burn, people could be seen running, and the raiding parties began going to shore. Barbossa stood high above and watched.
As captain he never wanted his crew to forget who was on top but sometimes that seemed trivial in view of thier goal. Ten years they'd been cursed because of the Aztec gold they had found.
He liked to blame Captain Jack Sparrow for it, but he was the one who had taken the ship from Jack and marooned him on an island. He hated Jack because he was the lucky one, Jack had been able to die.
Barbossa and his crew could never die, for ten years they'd been tracking the gold pieces own one by one. The wind had led them here, to this town of no particular value.
It was a moonless night with a light breeze but thanks to the curse he felt nothing, was he being punished for taking the ship from Sparrow? The man hadn't been a very clever captain as far as Barbossa had been concerned.
How he longed to feel a breeze, a twinge of pain, to even feel joy. Ten years felt like an eternity and it looked like they would end up like the Flying Dutchman. Suddenly Barbossa was jolted out of his musings.
Two of his men were bringing a woman on board, they weren't here to take captives and he didn't approve of taking women against thier will. He didn't care for his men doing that either.
He went down to the gathering and gave a warning to his first mate not to hit her again. She was the most beautiful thing he'd seen in ages, and he could tell she was of fiery temperment. He liked everything, her brownish blond hair color, blue eyes, and nice body.
She had the final piece of gold and he ordered her taken prisoner. This night was indeed becoming interesting but it presented him with a problem. He wanted to end the curse.
He did not want to kill her.
