He's been following her for weeks.

Kevin couldn't help it. It was more than just stalking. He had grown attached to this girl. The young human girl would walk to the shore of Southshore and relax. She'd sink her toes in the sand and let out a sigh.

He didn't even know her name, but there was something mysterious about her, like a shy lion.

He felt foolish. He was an Undead man, following this young human girl.

He discovered her by accident.

He'd only been walking around, and there she was. Making her way down the shore, her short brown hair neatly hooked onto her pierced ears. She'd sit down and stare out into the ocean.

She never smiled. At least, Kevin had never seen her smile. He knew that if she did smile, though, she'd be beautiful. Her brown eyes would shimmer and her full lips would curve into a smile, showing off her bright white teeth.

But she never did.

Every day was the same, but worth it. Just when the sun would go down, he'd see her walking down the shore, find a comfortable spot, and sit down and relax. Not exactly relax. He could tell that she was tense, worried, frustrated. She'd sit there and contemplate whatever she had on her mind.

Then she'd return home, and Kevin would do the same thing and head for home.

What was so entertaining about her? Kevin didn't even know. But each time he saw her, he felt nostalgic. He remembered the days of being a human man. And secretly, he missed it. Each time he'd see that young girl sit there, frowning, all he ever wanted to do was run to her and trap her in a warm embrace.

Of course the girl would shriek, pull away, and call the guards.

It'd be impossible. But he should be thankful for what he had already. Seeing her everyday made him happy.

She wasn't the most beautiful girl in the world, but just by the way her face was constructed, he could tell that she was a very wise girl. A girl beyond her years. Secrets hidden.

This day was different.

Kevin nestled behind a bush, watching closely and carefully as the young girl found a spot on the shore and sat down.

She looked sad. Sadder than before.

In seconds she was crying into her knees. Frustrated groans were escaping her lips. Her hands were in fists, her knuckles white as her teeth. She locked her jaws, sobbing uncontrollably. A thin silver streak of saliva escaped her red lips and she quickly wiped it away. She was grabbing her hair now, pulling on it. Still she sobbed, this time more angrily.

Kevin was shocked. He wanted to run to her. Help her. No questions asked. All he wanted to do was help. Embrace her.

She was breathing hard. She was more angry than sad now. She seemed regretful and angry. Her hands left her hair now and she was digging her hands in the damp sand. Tears were pouring down her cheeks, her eyes clenched shut.

And then a loud scream pierced through the sky. She was screaming. She stood on her feet, letting out a loud scream. Unleashing the chaos that was locked inside her. Letting out all the frustration that filled up inside her like a slow bucket.

Standing she was screaming into the sky. The scream was loud and long. Kevin watched in awe.

Finally, she fell to her knees, burned out. She was still sobbing, but her sobs were tamed and controllable now. She took in a deep breath, and let out a sigh. Tears were still rolling down her cheeks slowly. But she smiled. She smiled, facing the sand. She was smiling. Kevin had never seen anything so beautiful. She was smiling. She finally got up, and took one more deep look at the ocean, and headed back for the village.

Kevin never saw her again.
