A/N: I was bored so I wrote this.
Disclaimer: This is a piece of fan-fiction (key words) So why the hell do we need these things anyhow? We wouldn't get to write these things if the website didn't allow it! So why? Perhaps because it's fun.
It was the harvest fair, Will and his former Ward mates had gathered to spend the day together, meeting under the usual apple tree. As in accordance with tradition Will climbed up to grab a treat for Tug, only this time the apple slipped from his fingers and nearly hit George.
"I wonder why things fall." George commented picking the apple up. Everyone else just rolled their eyes, George tended to ask questions they didn't know the answer to.
"Because they do." Jenny supplied.
"Not so," corrected a young woman about their age. She had been passing by on the way to the fair. The girl had light brown hair and hazel eyes.
George looked at her quizzically, "Oh?"
She nodded, not bothering to introduce herself, "It's all due to gravity, not matter how high you go on the planet everything falls at the same acceleration."
"Acceleration?" Alyss inquired. They weren't a stupid lot, and were all very knowledgeable – in their respective fields of course.
"The change in speed an object undergoes when going from one speed to another." The mystery girl explained, "Those who use it to understand the universe call it velocity."
"So on other planets would things fall a different speeds?" Jenny asked, and was rewarded by a nod.
"Yes and why is that?" the girl asked, reminding Will of when Halt asked him something knowing the answer already.
"Because of gravity?" Horace asked, he still wasn't quiet sure what gravity was, just that things fell because of it.
"Yep." The girl said perkily.
"Alberta!" A tall, dark blue cloaked man called
While another man cried just after, "Come along."
Alberta waved good-bye to them and called back, "coming Isaac, coming Gallileo!"
A/N: Well, that's it, short, to the point and everyone got to say something. Can you guess who the mystery girl is named after? and her companions?
