NaruHina Chronicles
Chapter 5: Build up and break down
(Hinata)
We said our fair wells to Suna and we headed on our way back to Konoha. We have been walking for a few hours now and Naruto hasn't said a word to me. We actually haven't spoken since we first got to Suna. I had wondered if he really thought my company was useless on this mission. I was tired of being quiet I must speak now.
"Naruto why are you so quiet all of a sudden?" "Oh Uhm I don't know just a lot on my mind," Naruto protested. "You always say that," I muttered. "Uhm did you say something," Naruto asked. I clinched my fist and said "I said you always say that and I feel you didn't even want me to come on this mission with you!" Naruto got close to me and said, "I promise ill make it up to you." That's all he said and started walking again. He left me speechless with those words.

I have never seen Hinata get so fired up like that. She must have been really mad at me. The sun is starting to go down. I must find a spot were I can make the dinner I promised I would do. "I think we should stop and rest here." We set up camp close to a riverbank. I figured if I could catch some fish that would be great to make for dinner.
"Hey Hinata I'm going to go see if I could catch some fish to eat ill be right back." She sighed and said "ok." I walked off towards the riverbank. I'm pretty sure she thinks I'm avoiding. I've never seen her blow up like that before. Tonight I must redeem myself or I may lose Hinatas respect.

At first I was excited to be alone with Naruto, but now I cant help but think he isn't talking to me for a reason. Maybe I scared him by being too open with him on our way to Suna. If so I really messed up. I guess if he is avoiding me then he wont mind if a crash a little early. I lied down on, closed my eyes, and couldn't help but think about Naruto still.
(Naruto)
"Woo fishing is sure a lot of hard work. Hinata will sure love this, huh? Well she knocked out right away. Maybe this is a good thing I can make the romantic dinner and then she can wake up to my surprise, yes!" So the preparation begins.
I started a fire, grabbed a few sticks and started frying up the fish. In my bag I had an on the go chocolate desert for the finish. I also had packed some rice balls that Temari so thankfully made for my surprise. The fish were just about done and the sun had finally disappeared. That means it's been a few hours and Hinata would probably wake up here soon. I grabbed some plates from my bag and prepared our plates.

I finally woke up and I could see Naruto siting in front of me. I quickly turned away in hopes he maybe didn't notice. "Oh Hinata your up," he said. "I know I've been distant, but I want to make it up to you. I made dinner and I would be happy if you enjoyed it with me. I sat up because my cover was blown obviously. He stood up, held out a hand, and said "well how about it, I promise you wont regret it."
