I wrote this in creative writing class, when we were told to look through a poetry book, pick out a line, and start a story with it. Mine came from something by Mary Oliver, so the first sentence doesn't belong to me. But, since I don't actually mention them by name, I don't have to put a disclaimer for them! Ha!
It was written with Elliot and Olivia in mind, though, and could be from either of their points of view. You could also argue it was from the POV of anybody else on the show, about anybody else on the show, but to me it was an EO (ish) super-short drabble-type-thingy. And I wrote it quite some time ago, and haven't seen too many episodes since, so it may not synch up with what's been happening, but we'll call it Pre-Fault I guess?
And in case any readers of my NCIS stories made it here, you can pretend it's Tate. It may not fit entirely, but it's pretty darn close! Lol.
Please enjoy and please review!

I'm about to forgive you for everything.
That's right everything.
For every fight, every harsh word, every hour I was forced to sit at my desk in silence because you were still angry. For every time you came in late, shut me out, or spilled my coffee. For every stolen bite of lunch, for every lost pen.
For every time you won me over with that look.
For every elbow in the ribs when you thought I'd said too much, and for every face you'd make when I'd protest it. For the smile that can ruin a perfectly good bad mood, and for the laugh that can wreck any presumption of my control of the situation.
For every glance that lasted just a second too long and made me wonder if you feel the way I do.
Yes, for all of that and more, I'm about to forgive you…
… but I don't know that I want to.

Let me know what you think. Thanks!
