Tk, a-tk, a-tk, a-tk, a-tk…
Come with me,
Into mystery,
Chasing the dark and the shadows,
Keep away from the night,
Stay hid in the light,
If you don't plan to stay…
"Nope. I refuse. I will NOT move."
I sighed, rubbing my forehead. "Look, Arthur TOLD us to grab the firewood, and I'm NOT going out there alone!"
"Well, then I guess he's gonna yell at us. Because I'm not going to get up."
"Then you're not gonna get your phone back, either!" I huffed, snatching his phone from his grasp and diving out the bedroom door.
"HEY! Give that back!" Alfred snarled behind me, jumping up faster than I thought possible.
"Nope!"
Arthur sighed, pulling off the interstate and down the path leading to his home.
I bet the boys'll be happy I'm home early…~ Arthur smiled to himself as he remembered the day he'd adopted the two.
They'd been inseparable, even insisting on sharing a bed when they were young… The trauma of their parents being murdered had scarred them at first, so the workers had thought it best for the two to be worked with individually.
Yeah, NO.
They both practically went mad, crying at shouting and throwing fits at every little thing. But the instant they would bring the two boys together, they'd stare at each other for a moment, before smiling and continuing the conversation they had begun the previous day.
They soon decided to just keep the boys together, and deem them a 2-for-1 deal on adoption fees.
Arthur thought back to the day he first saw the two. They'd been only 5, over14 years ago, and one had been sitting in a corner, talking to a stuffed bear, while the other was chatting up a storm with a group of rather annoyed looking teens.
He'd adored them in that same instant.
Chuckling, he remembered the time he'd made the mistake of letting the boys wander through the woods.
Matthew had come home, laughing and smiling on the back of a moose.
About halfway into the driveway, he closed his eyes, knowing his home like the back of his hand.
The end of the driveway's about 20 yards away from-
"OH, SHIT, MATT-!"
*THUNK*
