Kirihara did not really dislike the English language; he absolutely detested it. On the other hand, Yukimura buchou had seemed to like it, so Kirihara had forced himself to try and show some interest in it, and to do sufficiently well enough to pass the module. But when Yukimura was hospitalized, Kirihara's resolve diminished gradually day by day; until the Rikkaidai tennis club could bear his English grades no longer and assigned him a tutor.

If people thought Niou-senpai was not one to get on to the wrong side of, then they most probably had not really met Yagyuu-senpai. Kirihara was now convinced that Yagyuu-senpai was a demon sent from hell to punish him. He frequently wondered how Niou-senpai could stand being around Yagyuu-senpai most of the time, and playing doubles with him too. Sanada fukubuchou had suggested that Niou-senpai was actually the influence behind Yagyuu-senpai, which then made Niou-senpai the demon in disguise and Yagyuu-senpai the demon in training – although Kirihara himself thought otherwise. Kirihara, however, felt that this was one issue he was better off not knowing anymore than need be; the 4 lessons he had with Yagyuu-senpai (or maybe it was Niou-senpai – that would explain many things) had scarred him permanently for the rest of his school life.

Kirihara felt a hand on his arm, shifting his attention back to that abnormally abhorrent pile of English work he was to complete. He scowled, but a smile formed on his face as he heard his name being murmured.

Kirihara still did not like English, nor will he make any attempt to pull up his English grades. He did like his English lessons, and he was willing to go through all this junk because… Just because it was Yanagi-senpai, and Kirihara liked Yanagi-senpai much more than he hated English.
