"Julius, we need to speak to you," came a cold voice from the doorway to the clock tower. Julius looked up from his huge pile of clocks to find -to his complete disbelief and shock- Vivaldi, Peter, Blood, Elliot, Gowland, Boris, and Ace standing uncomfortably in his workroom. Whatever this was, it was obviously very important.
"Have a seat wherever you can find one," Julius said, surprising himself with how controlled his voice sounded, " but watch the clocks."
Vivaldi sat down and continued. "You are well aware of the rule that an event must be held from time to time."
"Yes. And?" Julius didn't see the point in this at all.
"And it's not fair that you're the only one who hasn't held an event yet!" Elliot cried angrily. If Julius had been anyone but himself, he probably would have shown some sings of his increasing discomfort by now, but he wasn't so he didn't.
"Yeah, so we all decided that it's your turn to do something," Boris finished.
"And how do you expect me to set up an event with all of these clocks to repair?" Julius stated coolly.
"Alice can help you. And we can also lend Ace to assist you," Vivaldi replied with that smile she used when she was about to get her way.
Julius knew he was outnumbered, so there was really no point in arguing, as it might lead to a fight. Which, with all his clocks to repair and now and event to plan, was the last thing he needed at the moment. Still… he couldn't help but find one more loophole. "I still can't do something like this without at least one more person," he said, trying hard to maintain his composure.
"I have nothing better to do, so I'll help, I guess," Boris offered. Normally he would look for an excuse not to help, but he wanted to make sure Ace didn't mess with Alice.
"I'll help Alice –er I mean Julius, too!" Peter cried, jumping up.
"No, you'll stay with us," Vivaldi ordered, clearly amused at how this was going. "It's decided, then. Julius, you will have an event here at the clock tower. Soon." And with that, everyone left except for Ace and Boris.
"Well, start thinking of what kind of event I'll hold. I've got work to do," Julius ushered them into another room, "and try not to kill each other. I've got enough to worry about without you two causing trouble." With an irritated sigh, Julius went back to his clocks.
