It is a song beyond beauty, a beauty beyond the Eldars' thought

It is a falling enchantment, and in the starry meshes I am caught

And I walk on, as silver light streams down through woven trees

Beyond divine, holiness unshakable, and yet the songstress flees

My heart is broken, as the ebbing echoes wane and yet never fade

But running, I have found her. She stands there, in a sapling glade

Sweet nightingales circle as a living crown around her holy head

And we stand there, on virgin earth that was before us yet untread

An ebony cascade falls to her knees, her gaze is love's divinity

"Melian." She whispers. Her face is beauty, her song is eternity

Melian, the Beloved, all that is sweet and good in this new earth

No one was her mother, none gave this ancient spirit birth

Awe fills me, I would bow, and yet she holds out her slender hand

Somehow I take it, and I look into her eyes, so there we stand

Lost in her eyes, I see the secrets of the world, I see a holy face

I see the mysteries of the stars, I see one of a divine race

Whether we stood there for minutes or years, I know not

I have found love with her, that unknown call that I had sought

Has led to Melian, Songstress, Enchanter, my deathless Queen

And she with her song she had woven around me a spell unseen

I am trapped under her deathless love and in her starlit eyes

She chose me for love eternal, fulfilling, a love that never dies
