MISTAKE

Chapter 1

It was a bright and sunny day in Coldsprings-Wilderville, Montana.

As Brandon, Snowball and the cows played a board game, the wolves played outside like wolf pups.

Inside the barn...

"Well, I'm gonna go to the store." said Brandon. "Anyone need anything?"

"Actually, I do, but I'm going to the store as well." said DJ.

"I want some cherry pie, honey." said Snowball.

"Okay." said Brandon and kissed Snowball. "Why don't you see if Sheba will make some peach pie tonight?"

"Okay." said Snowball. "I love you."

"I love you too." said Brandon and walked out the door, then left for the store.

"The Enzo's working by the way." DJ said to Missy.

"Can I come with you?" asked Missy.

"Of course you can." said DJ. "Anything for my sweetheart."

"Dad?" asked Valerie.

"Yeah?" asked DJ.

"Can you get me a Hershey's Cookies & Creme?" asked Valerie.

"Yeah." said DJ.

DJ then went to Bessy and Dallas's room where Bessy was talking on the phone.

"Hold on a minute." said Bessy to who was on the phone. "What cha want, hun?" she asked DJ.

"I was going to the store." said DJ. "I was wanting to know if you wanted anything."

"Al was actually needing some things, so I'll get what me and your father needs when I'm out." said Bessy.

"Okay." said DJ.

Later.

Garth and Lilly were playing. Lilly was chasing Garth as they were both laughing.

"I bet I can get you!" Lilly laughed. Right after Garth made it across the road, Lilly got hit by a semi.

"Nooooo!" Garth shouted.

Barn...

"Okay..." said Otis. "Left hoof on red."

Humphrey ran inside.

"Lilly's been hit!" Humphrey shouted. "A semi came around the curb and hit her!"

Dallas then ran outside and carried Lilly to the other side, where the barnyard was and lie her down. She was covered in blood and wasn't moving.

"Lilly?" asked Garth, getting close to Lilly.

He then knealed and held her in her arms.

"Lilly..." Garth said and began crying. "Please don't do this, sweetheart."

Hospital.

A veterinarian came to the waiting room.

"Is she alright?" asked Garth.

"Her skull is broken, she has broken rib cages and all her limbs are shattered." said the vet. "She's in critical condition. We're not sure if she's gonna make it."

Garth started crying.

"This is all my fault." he cried.

"No it's not." said DJ. "You didn't know it was gonna happen."
