Announcer: The second half of Round 1 will now get underway! The first match will be a rematch between two spear wielders! Introducing the contestants… Pearl of the Crystal Gems, and Undyne of Asgore's Royal Guard! Wiz, Boomstick, share the details!
Wiz: Certainly! Pearl and Undyne have fought once before in One Minute Melee, but that time, their battle was a tie.
Boomstick: Yeah, that damn time limit, right? But now, we can see these two spear fighters have a real battle to see which one is the best!
Announcer: And now, here come the contestants!
In the arena, the two contestants have arrived and are preparing for battle.
Undyne: Looks like we can settle that fight we had here and now, huh Pearl?
Pearl: It seems that way. Get ready, Undyne! I'll give it everything I have!
Announcer: Are our fighters ready? Then let the battle begin!
Undyne vs. Pearl
Start!
(Cue: Spear Me The Details- OMM OST 10)
Undyne and Pearl summoned their spears and charge each other, their respective weapons clashing against each other. After several seconds of struggle, Pearl backs off a few feet.
Pearl: Just as aggressive as I remember. But I've been preparing for our rematch!
Undyne: Yeah, me as well. And besides…
Undyne then manifests spears from the ground, Pearl was able to dodge.
Undyne: You haven't seen everything I can do!
Pearl: Same here.
Pearl activated her magic and creates her holographic double. The two then charge the captain, Holo-Pearl fighting head-on while Pearl herself jumps behind Undyne.
Undyne quickly reacts by making a spear behind her to counter Pearl, then uses her strength to muscle the Gem to the front and kicks her in the stomach.
Announcer: Great reaction time from Undyne!
Undyne: You won't need that clone anymore!
Undyne then used her spears to dissipate the clone and then manifest Pearl in a Soul form (which resembles her Gem Form).
Undyne: You're gonna be defending by my rules now!
Pearl's Soul turns green as a barrier forms in front of it. As multiple spears gravitate towards the Gem, the barrier moves to block the attacks.
Undyne: This is how we do it in our world, Hope you're not scared.
Pearl: Far from it! This is actually a very good exercise in reacting to projectiles! I need to make something like this for Steven and Connie's training.
Undyne: Heh, glad to help!
After the soul attack dissipates, Pearl returns to her normal form. She quickly gets back to offense as she points her spear at Undyne, an energy bolt shooting out of the tip.
Undyne: Whoa, Lasers?! When did you have those?!
Pearl: Since I learned how to do that.
The energy hits Undyne in the chest, causing the Monster to take a few steps back.
Pearl: See, the key is not strength, but smarts. Time to finish you off!
Pearl then charged in and seemingly struck Undyne, but somehow Undyne caught the spear and smirked.
Undyne: You're gonna have to try a lot harder than THAT!
Undyne then flung the spear out of pears hands and kicked her in the face. She then whacked her in the head with her spear, avoiding her gem, as Pearl falls to the ground. Then she grabbed Pearl, punched her in the face, and sent her flying out of the ring.
Announcer: Ring out! Pearl has been tossed out of the ring, overpowered by Undyne! Its over, Undyne wins!
WINNER: Undyne
As the crowd cheers, Undyne walks over to the Gem and offers her a hand up.
Undyne: That was a good fight! We should do it again sometime!
Pearl: Noted. You've proven a lot to me, Undyne.
Undyne: Yup. You've taught me a thing or two too. Till next fight, right?
Pearl: Right!
And so, Round 1 continues….
