A/N: Hello! I'm not sure if there is already a Jane By Design fan fic on U.N.I, I haven't looked but I don't think there is. So enjoy! Also if any facts are out of date I apologize, I think I'm up to date on the show but there so much drama you never know.

Jane and Billy had discussed what was going to happen when she got accepted into her dream college. They both knew between her job and classes she would be to busy for him. They both avoided the dreaded conversation until she was packing that night for the morning drive.

"Billy, I don't want to leave you." she whispered, afraid if she said it any louder the tears in her eyes would fall endlessly down her cheeks. "I know I won't be that far away b-but I just I-I…" she was trying not to sob uncontrollably at this point.

"Shh… It's okay Janey. I love you and I understand this is a great opportunity. Let's just not talk about it. I'm here for tonight and that's all that matters. " he calmed her as she cried into his chest. He was also trying not to let a few unshed tears fall. That night they both slept and comforted each other.

The next morning as Billy and Ben were loading up Billy's car, so he could drive Jane to her school, Jane was in the car doing her hair. Ben told Jane goodbye and then they left. Just the two of them in an uncomfortable silence until they were at the school. Once they got there Jane was the first to break the silence, "Billy, I love you…. I just want you to know I didn't want this to end… I didn't want us to end." she got quieter as the statement went. "Listen Janey. After you get out of college or if you find time or whatever I'll still be here with open arms. I know we were meant for each other even if you don't see it yet. Just when you can, If you still feel like you do now, come back. I love you" "I love you too." With that Billy and Jane got all of her stuff into her dorm and shared one last goodbye kiss.

Billy was now driving back to his place when he stopped at a red light, when he looked down at the seat he saw Jane's hair band from that morning. That's when he realized he doesn't care if can't ever see his girlfriend, as long as his girlfriend if Jane. He just want to find little hair ties in his car seat because she can't seem to pick up after herself, and he loves that about her. He loves everything about her. He immediately did a U-turn back to the school.

When he arrived he went straight to Jane's dorm and started banging on the door. When she opened it she was in fluffy pajama bottoms and a tank top accompanied by puffy red eyes that showed she has cried. "What are y-" he didn't even give her the chance to finish before he swooped down and hungrily attacked her lips with his own. Not that she minded, seeing as she quickly responded by pulling him into the dorm while her arms were around his neck. She pulled him to the bed and sat him down while she sat down next to him. "Now before we do that again. What happened?"

"I missed you Jane. I realized I would rather have a girlfriend that means the world to me that I don't get to see very often, than being heart-broken and depressed because we were too stupid to realize we could make this work." he replied with a small smile playing on his lips. She smiled too and they resumed their earlier activities.
