I looked down at Kenji's rain-stained dying face.

"Kenji, don't die, please don't," I sobbed.

"Make way, I'm coming through," Hana yelled. She placed her hands on Kenji, (MY Kenji) trying to heal him.

"Kenji, don't go," Sasuke sighed. Was that emotion I heard in his voice?

"He's not going anywhere," I said quickly.

"You're lying," He said quietly.

Hana began to sniffle, jerking her tiny body with each sob. Sasuke put his hand on her shoulder, although he began to tremble as well.

I grabbed the kunai that had embedded in his chest, and gently pulled it out. Then I sat his body up.

He looked up, his useless blind eyes staring up at all of us.

"Hana. You must stay with this team. Your medical skills are top notch, and I need someone to keep Sasuke on track. Teach him to be gentle and firm. He still sucks at that." he told the tiny kunoichi.

"I will," she sobbed, "the tears flowing down her dark face.

"Sasuke, the best student I ever taught," he continued.

"I'm the only student you ever had," he sniff-laughed.

"Keep on track, and you will become the most powerful shinobi in the world. Well, behind me of course." he laughed.

"Thank you sensei," Sasuke said softly, "Thank you for teaching me, and thank you for helping me accomplish my goals,"

I looked back at the ruins, that lay behind us. Those ruins were once Konoha. The four of us did that by ourselves, but when we tried to escape, a Hyuuga, going by the name of Neji threw two kunai at me. I just stood there, but Kenji didn't. He leapt in front of me and took the kunai meant for me.

"Neko," his voice was merely a whisper now. The mere mention of my name by him made me burst into tears.

"Yes?" I asked a little shakily.

"Just remember, there is no one like you. Yumi, Ino, Hinata, they can't hold a candle to your fierce beauty. Hold these two together."

"Oh Kenji, please, please, don't go. Don't leave me alone."

"I am sorry. This is my time." he rasped.

That did it. Hana collapsed into Sasuke's arms, crying. Sasuke was crying; his sensei and best friend was dying right in front of him, and he could do anything about it.

"Neko?" I heard Kenji's voice.

"Yes?" I sniffed.

"I love y-" that was his last words. Those were Kenji Nara's last words.
