Sonny Munroe was not like the other girls. She didn't obssess over boys or go shopping every weekend. She wasn't what they would call normal.

She was like wearing shorts and a tank-top in the winter. It's odd, and strange, and yet it grabs your attention.

And there was one person's attention that Sonny always seemed to hold. That person was named Chad Dylan Cooper.

Like Sonny, Chad wasn't like every other guy in the world. He was differant.

Sometimes, when no one is looking, Chad will stare at Sonny. It's not an obssessive stare, but a curious one. He'll just sit and stare at her, and try and see what she's hiding. Chad didn't believe she could be that perfect, so he figured she was hiding something.

But Chad couldn't find anything. He couldn't find a single secret, or see a single flaw. She was perfect, inside and out. And Chad hated that, because when it came down to it, he wasn't. Perfect, I mean.

He had flaws, and made mistakes, he wasn't perfect. And because of that Chad hated himself because that meant he could never be with her. Because perfect and unperfect don't click. They can't combine or meet in the middle. They run in seperate lines away from each other.

Perfect.

It was something Chad could never become, but strived to be. He was practically dying to become what they wanted him to be. What she wanted him to be.

Good.

Perfect.

It was impossible, at least for Chad. But here's the thing, Sonny believed that Chad is the perfect one.

With his perfect hair, and perfect eyes, and that perfect smile, he was the perfect one. But it wasn't just his looks that made him perfect, it was his attitude as well. Sure, there were times when he was a total self-absorbed brat, but then there was the moments, when the nice Chad came out of the shadows and became perfect.

They were perfect.

But they were even more perfect when they were together. And somehow, someday, they be perfect entirely. Then they'll have have perfect children, and perfect grandchildren, etc, etc.
