Lizzie's parents are hiding a secret. One that could kill her. Well, let's backtrack. There was a completely normal morning, Lizzie was writing, Jake was being annoying, Chase was quiet, and Neb was being Neb. Then there was the prank. Four dead crickets in Lizzie's locker. They mean nothing, right? Remember, everything isn't always what it seems.

Of course, that had to be the day everything was NOT fine.

- Present time-

It started as a normal day. I had just woke up when-

"Hey, wake up!" Yelled my younger brother, Jake. I quickly snapped back to reality. Too bad the world of Aubrey Smalls didn't exist. Monsters and faeries roaming the world…

Once again, I was snapped out of my thoughts.

"Well, when your ready, Neb's here." Jake said like he knew everything.

"Hey, Lizzie." My older brother Chase walked up to my door. "Neb".

"I know." I snapped. "Er, sorry Chase. I'm just annoyed."

"Jake?" He asked.

"Yep."

"I'll talk to him."
