A/N: This is a fan fic about the pairing of Damon/Elena and why I believe that they are meant to be.

INTRO: Two people separated by time; Brought together by immortality.
A higher power roamed around the town of Mystic Falls in the 1800's. This power resulted in a pre-determined chain reaction of events.
This power created vessels out of Katherine Pierce and Stefan Salvatore.
Their sole purpose was to do the work that would result in a reunion of fated souls.
Katherine used her gift of immortality to turn two brothers into immortal beings.
Stefan was used to ensure his brother would survive this transition by bringing him his first human meal.
Years later, he would also ensure that Damon's other life source, Elena Gilbert, would survive the car crash that killed her parents.
The power that rules over these people is the deepest known to man, dead or alive. This power is love.
Over time, true love may have skewed off course, but the power is back to ensure that its wishes are fulfilled.
Unbeknownst to Damon Salvatore, the gift of immortality would be the best thing that ever happened to him.
