Random little something that popped into my head.

"No- no. It's the first one, THEN you take your finger off the 2nd one."
"I hate this song." Cassie declared angrily, holding the blue plastic recorder hard in her hand and with pure will power, managing not to throw it across the room.
"It's the easiest to learn on a recorder. It is only 3 different notes- It wouldn't be that hard if you would just listen to me." Gabriel mumbled the last part mostly to himself, but apparently he said it loud enough for Cassie to hear it.
"I am listening! It's not my fault this stupid thing is being difficult!" Cassie raised the recorder to emphasize her words.
"An instrument is 'being difficult'?" Gabriel asked sarcastically, a smirk finding a way to his face as he realized how ridiculous her statement sounded.
"It's impossible to play!" Cassie stated, glaring at the stupid instrument in her hands.
"It's a recorder. It isn't that hard to learn."
"Uh-huh, if you know so much about it then why don't you just learn it then!" Cassie looked up from the recorder and handed Gabriel the piece of hard plastic she had found to be so difficult.
"I know how to play every instrument in all of human history."
"Prove it. Play the stupid song then."
Gabriel rolled his eyes but raised the plastic reed to his lips, placing his fingers on the correct holes before playing the song Cassie had spent so much time trying to learn.
"You make playing 'Mary had a little lamb' look so easy…"
Gabriel lowered the instrument and handed it back to Cassie.
"That's because it is easy. It literally consists of 3 different notes."
…
"…And your point?"
I've been trying to learn the beginning of 'Mary had a little lamb' and it is a hell of a lot harder than it looks. I imagined Gabriel showing up and giving me lessons, and this kinda popped into my head...
So yeah.
