Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter...
She'd had enough of Harry and Ron! If they asked her one more time to help them with their Transfiguration homework she was going to transfigure them in to a potted plant and leave them on a windowsill. She had stormed out of the Gryffindor common room leaving the two of them to figure out McGonagall's assignment on their own. She had also forgotten her winter cloak and the cold December wind penetrated through her muggle clothes and was freezing her from the inside. She shivered as she stormed down the corridor. It was late and curfew had already started. The library was closed and she wasn't hungry so there really was only one place to go if she wanted to avoid Filch and the boys. The Room of Requirement. The problem with getting to the room of requirements was in fact Filch. Not only had she stormed out of the common room without her cloak but also without the Marauders Map and Harry's invisibility cloak. The only positive she had going for her right now, was the fact she was a prefect and she could fumble up an excuse that she believed it was her turn to patrol the corridors tonight.
As she slipped through the corridors surprisingly unseen she slowly started to relax as she neared the Room of Requirements. She hadn't been in the room since the year before, focusing mainly on her studies and trying to hide the fact that Ron and Lav Lav weren't upsetting her. She was perfectly aware that the wizarding world was becoming more unsafe every day, but if she had to listen to Harry's assumptions about Draco Malfoy being a Deatheater one more time she was going to hand him over to the Dark Lord herself just to shut him up.
Checking that nobody was insight she walked back and forth three times silently asking for a place to get away. As the doors opened she snuck inside and froze. She was hoping for a place to get away but instead she had found herself in a room with a very angry, half naked Draco Malfoy. He was still wearing his school trousers but from waist up he was undressed. Their eyes locked for a second before she lowered her vision only to freeze even more. Against the paleness of his skin there on his left arm the dark mark was clear to see. He must have seen her staring as he quickly turned his arm and pointed his wand towards her. Hermione didn't know where to look, air had caught in her throat as she tried to evaluate everything she had just discovered. Harry was right and Draco was a Deatheater, he had joined the Deatheaters at only 16 years of age, he looked unhealthy, his body was skinnier than what she had imagined and he was pointing his wand at her. She looked in his eyes and expected to see hate but all she saw was anger and fear.
"You going to kill me?" She asked, internally wincing at how squeaky she sounded. She had to get out of here and warn Dumbledore, when he didn't speak she went to turn but his arm hitched higher and she froze. "Malfoy," she whispered, she could hardly hear herself speak from the way her heart was pounding in her chest.
"You shouldn't be here," he said slowly. "You shouldn't be here."
"I didn't see anything, I just wanted somewhere to get away. I'll leave and say nothing of this." She said forcing her eyes to look at his face, even though they desperately wanted to drop to his arm.
"The door has disappeared," he said and Hermione turned around, the door had vanished, they were trapped.
"What have you done." She said her tone increasing as panic started to settle in.
"It disappeared when you walked through the door." He said.
"No, no, no, no, no," Hermione whimpered before turning back to Draco, but this time looking over his head to the large cabinet behind him. "I've seen that before," Hermione said as fear flooded through her. She had seen it a few weeks before Hogwarts when Harry, Ron and her had followed Draco and his mother to Borgin and Burkes, where there was an identical cabinet in the shop. Now she knew that Draco wasn't only a Deatheater but he was working on something.
"You've seen too much Granger!" Draco warned, "You should never have left your dorm." His voice rose in anger and Hermione pressed herself towards the wall as he stepped closer to her. His wand was still out in front of him when she cursed herself. He wasn't the only one with a wand. She reached for hers but he zapped it from her grasp and it flew across the room. She could feel herself shaking as he neared. She was powerless and a lot smaller than him, he was going to kill her. He stopped right in front of her, her eyes were staring into his chest. She was indeed a lot smaller than him, she'd never known how much but when one stands right in front of you, you quickly realise you are an entire neck and head shorter.
"Malfoy, please don't kill me." He seemed to tense at the words and she wondered for a brief second if she had been wrong, was he merely trying to scare her or was he going to kill her.
She didn't get her answer as suddenly a large blue hole behind them appeared. Draco turned and Hermione stepped beside him. Where the hole had come from she had no idea but she knew this wasn't good. She glanced to Draco who was staring at the hole as confused as her before he turned and glared at her.
"What is this Granger?" he snapped and her eyebrows shot up.
"Me? I haven't done anything. If you recall you flung my wand across the room. I thought this was down to you!" she replied before taking a few steps towards it. The blue hole was simply that, a large blue hole. There was no sound or light coming from it. She turned to Draco with a frown when a force grabbed her around her ankle and pulled. She screamed and Draco's face full or shock was the last thing she saw as she was pulled down the hole.
"Granger!" he yelled he reached for his shirt slipping it on as he stepped closer to the hole. "Granger!" but she was nowhere in sight. His own heart started to beat. What was he going to do! He knew the right thing was to alert someone about what happened but that could risk him being exposed, but if he did nothing by morning it would be obvious that Hermione Granger was missing. He had no choice. He had to speak to Snape, he was the only one that would help. As he turned something grabbed his ankle, in panic he dropped his wand and he too was pulled down the hole. As Draco's screams faded the hole in the floor sealed itself up and the door to the room of requirements reappeared as though nothing had happened.
Oooh new story new story! I do love starting new stories. So this one literally created itself as I wrote it, normally I have a plot in mind but I started writing this blind, by the end of this chapter I kind of have more of an idea where it's going to go. It's going to focus mainly on Hermione and Draco throughout their upcoming experience (don't want to give too much away) The chapters will be longer than this one as this chapter is only short and it kind of leave all of you in the dark. Hopefully the next chapter will be soon I have just moved out of my family home into a place with the boyfriend so hopefully now settled chapters will become more regular. I'd love to hear what you all think so far, so reviews would be great!
Lottie!
