Sleep Eating

They're perfectly mismatched!
They're Rita and Runt!
It was nighttime in a small town. At the library there was an old shed, which three animals had taken residence. The animals were a large dog named Runt, a cat named Rita, and a smart mouse named Billie. The three were an odd trio, but they got along quit well and looked after each other.
Billie was up reading a book about sleepwalking from the library, while her two friends were asleep. She was so invested in her book, she didn't hear Rita come up from behind her, until she picked her up by her tail. Billie hung from her tail and looked into the face of Rita. Rita stared off into space seemingly unaware of anything. She was sleepwalking! Billie considered waking Rita up, but remembered it was bad to wake a sleepwalker up. The mouse stared at her friend as she opened her mouth up and tossed Billie into it. Rita then swallowed Billie.
GULP!
A round lump went down Rita's throat and vanished into her chest. Billie landed in Rita's stomach with a plop and decided to wait for Rita to wakeup, in order to get out. Rita sat down and went to sleep with the small creature in her belly.
Runt then got up and began sleepwalking towards Rita as he dreamed about eating a bunch of food. He reached Rita and opened his mouth wide sticking her head in his mouth and began swallowing. Rita didn't wake or move as Runt began to swallow her body, but inside her belly Billie noticed something was up as everything shifted inside Rita and she could make out some strange sounds coming from outside the cat. Runt continued to swallow Rita, until he reached her tail, which he slurped up like a noodle and swallowed the cat.
GULP!
Rita landed in Runt's stomach still sound asleep. Runt then laid on the ground and went to sleep.
Later Runt got to drink some water from a pan, his belly feeling strangely heavy and full. Runt drank some water, which went down to his stomach and splashed Rita waking her up. Rita woke up and her eyes quickly adjusted to the dark of the strange place she was in. She pressed her paws against one of the stomach walls and pushed. This tickled Runt and made him laugh.
"Runt?" Asked Rita.
"Rita?" Asked Runt looking at his belly.
"I'm in here." Said Rita.
"I see your up." Said Billie from Rita's stomach.
"Billie? Why are you inside me and why am I inside Runt?" Asked Rita looking at her belly.
"Well you were sleepwalking and you swallow me and I'm guessing Runt was sleepwalking and he swallowed you." Said Billie.
"You have a idea to get us out?" Asked Rita.
"I do, but we're not in an immediate danger, also it's kind of comfy in here." Said Billie.
"Yeah it's kind of comfy inside of Runt too and I don't mind being here." Said Rita.
"Everything good then?" Asked Runt.
"Everything is good." Said Rita and Billie.
Runt went back to sleep, with Rita sleeping in his stomach, and Billie sleeping in hers. The three friends were very close that night.
