Author's notes: I've really wanted to write Angel and Jack stuff. Not as a ship but just as brothers. I think their so different but so much alike they make a great time. ((remember the school scene? Yeah I loved that part,)) Anyways-reviews are loved!

Summery: Angel was the youngest until Jack came along, then Angel Mercer got to see all the benefits of being a big brother.

When Jack arrived at the Mercer household Angel had turned 19 two weeks prior. And at first, he was annoyed to have a little brother. He was used to being the 'youngest' and getting most of the attention. He liked having Jerry and Bobby to himself. But the moment he met Jack he decided he could share. Not exactly brotherly.

He thought at first that Bobby and Jack would get along better simply because those white boys were crazy as sin and it just seemed right. And while they bonded…it wasn't exactly in the way they were all expecting.

He then thought Jerry would take over the big brother routine, 'cause Bobby was to busy swallowing his tongue and all. But that didn't happen either. Sure Jerry treated Jack special, got him tickets to good concerts, made sure he was picked up on time and got the new pairs of shoes when mom forgot. But again it just wasn't big brotherly enough.

So two months after Angel had turned 19 he nominated himself Cracker Jackie's kickass big brother.

He found out quickly he liked being a big brother. He liked pushing around those who thought they could push Jack. He liked waiting outside the school for his little brother, he liked teasing him only to make it up to him by sneaking him a beer.

It was when he was 22, when he finally moved out that Angel realized together they'd all given Jack what he needed. Bobby was the love of his life, Jerry was his go to guy, and Angel was the cool brother.

So when Jack helped him pack, his eyes misty with tears, Angel couldn't help but smile a little. And when he hugged him goodbye? Angel didn't bother to hid the fact that he too was crying when he hugged his little brother goodbye.

Blood wasn't all it was cracked up to be. But good old fashion brotherly love? Yeah, that was a hellva lot stronger.
