Old friend, New Love
The rain came pouring down on her yet she still stood there. Feeling lonely and lost her thoughts were racing.
"They're gone. They killed each other. They'll never come back." The rain covered up her tears but honestly there were more tears sliding down her face then rain drops. The footsteps didn't bother here because she knew who it was. It was always him.
"Sakura come on let me take you home. If you stay out to long you'll get sick."He pleaded
"Why should it matter anymore? Everything that I lived for is gone. Sasuke killed Naruto, and Naurto killed Sasuke. Nothing matters anymore. I trained hard so I could bring Sasuke back and I loved Naruto but I never got to tell him. Everything I worked for and all the pain I went through was for nothing. I was gonna help Naruto become hokage. Now it's never gonna happen." She turned from the edge of Lady Tsunades's stone head on the mountain side and looked at him with her glazed eyes. They pierced his heart. The silver-haired ninja reached out to her but she moved closer to the edge.
"I lost two teammates along with many more but I can't lose another one Sakura. I just can't so please, let me take you home." After minutes of pleading and stubbornness Sakura finally agreed.
He kicked his door open and led her inside. She couldn't go back to her place because she would probably kill herself in all the memories of the three that was wrapped up in that room. After drying off they sat on the couch. The depressing feeling she had caused her to fall asleep with her head on his shoulder and his arm around her. He noticed she fell asleep and tried to get up but she pulled on his vest to keep him at her side.
"Don't leave me Kakashi-sensei." He smiled under his mask and kissed her forehead.
"I'm not going anywhere." She felt so hopeless because she was curled up in her sensei's arms but she liked the feeling of being so close to him. She knew she wasn't alone and that made her feel so much better. For some reason Kakashi got an urge so he intertwined his hand with hers and she held it tight. He felt her heartbeat through her pulse and soon they matched with every second and every beat. His heart wrenched. Slowly she reached her other hand up and removed his headband. To get in a better position she let go of his hand and kneeled on the couch. Her warm breath brushed against his face. Her fingertips felt the skin beneath the mask that always hid his face and as she slid it off she closed her eyes. Unusually he didn't protest against her doing. As soon as his face completely uncovered she opened her eyes to see his face for the first time. Holding back the nosebleed she tried not to ruin the moment. His palm ran from her neck to her cheek. Together their hearts pounded at each other's touch. Oh how loved this girl sitting
on his couch. He had always lover her even in the times when she was all over Sasuke. Even though it was hard to watch he still loved her and tonight he finally found out if she felt the same. Their lips touched and lingered for a few seconds until she pulled away. Her heart melted and the fires of hatred and anger in Kakashi froze. The fireworks that Sakura always hoped for when she kissed a boy arrived but she never thought it would be with him. He smiled to show a perfect set of white teeth that was always kept in the dark. She kissed him again and after he whispered in her ear so romantically it was as if he was a different person.
"Sakura, I love you."
"Kakashi-sensei I know you love me. But what you didn't know was that I have always loved you. Even when Sasuke and Naruto were I was all over them, I always loved you more." His smile got bigger and their lips touched again. Even though it was on one of the sadest days of her life, Sakura found her soulmate.
