Ever since Hylla and Reyna had run from their pirate captors Reyna had known that she was bisexual.
Her year spent being a slave for the pirates mainly consisted of fighting her growing attraction for the beautiful Seraphina who, like her, had followed Circe and wound up on the receiving end of the pirate's cruelty.
While on the run Reyna decided that she would never act on one of her girl crushes as it just wasn't something she wanted to do.
When she saw Annabeth Chase for the second time she decided to rethink that promise. If Annabeth had been beautiful when she was thirteen then it was nothing compared to now. She was tall and curvey with her slightly curled hair framing her face. Her piercing grey eyes seemed to analyse everything in the room and plan out the best fighting strategies, exits, defence points and weapons.
In other words, she was gorgeous.
Reyna decided to invite Annabeth to walk with her, if only to spend more time with her. They were chatting over hot chocolate and Reyna personally couldn't care less if the entire city of New Rome went up in smoke.
Ironically, that was exactly what ruined her first unofficial date with Annabeth. She knew that Annabeth wouldn't have fired on her legion the she saw her eyes. When the Argo II was firing Annabeth's eyes weren't cool and calculating, no they were full of honesty, desperation and shock.
Reyna didn't want a war with Camp Half-blood and tried to keep the legion from attacking for as long as she could, but Octavian whipped the legion into a frenzy and she had no choice but to lead an attack on Camp Half-blood.
The fight only broke up when the Argo II hovered over-top of them and Annabeth stepped out.
Even when she was bruised, bloodied and injured she was still the most beautiful thing Reyna had ever seen.
In the two week long celebration after the war, Reyna finally made her move. She took Annabeth aside, pinned her to the wall and kissed her almost hard enough to bruise.
