Prolog

Out of the millions of females in the world, only a few would be classified as gorgeous or hot by the male population. More females are classified as beautiful, pretty or cute by most of the male population. Most females, however, are classified as 'Plain Janes', beautiful in their own way but mostly forgotten by the males. While men are also a part of the statistics, females are not as concerned about looks as the males. But why?

Why do boys tend to care about looks over brains? Why aren't females as concerned about looks as they are about intelligence? Granted there are abnormalities in both genders but this is overall.

Speaking of classifying, how would you classify yourself? Do you consider yourself hot or gorgeous? Beautiful, pretty or cute even? Or would you consider yourself a 'Plain Jane'? How do you think others see you? Do you think other girls think of you as anything other than a 'Plain Jane'? How about the males?

I believe that everyone follows trends. They may deny it but it is embedded into us at an early age. I think that every female wants to be the most gorgeous girl in the world, just as every male wants to be the hottest guy.

But what happens when a 'Plain Jane' falls for the hot guy? Or what if the nerd falls for the popular girl? Is it really human nature for the hottest guy to be with the hottest girl and the nerdiest guy with the nerdiest girl?

I believe so. But today at school, my beliefs have been shaken to the core. My name is Tenten and I am considered the 'Plain Jane' of Konoha High School…
