Love's Sacrifice
Author's Note: This is absolutely terrible, but I figure I'll post it anyway. Basically a poem that explains how Allenby feels after telling Domon to admit his feelings for Rain. I tried to write a story, but it just didn't click, unfortunately, after about two weeks of trying. So this will (hopefully) satisfy this particular bug.
What is love?
Is it the crackling fire
And the warm embrace
Of your beloved
On a cold winter's night?
Is love the taste
Of a first dinner spent together?
Long looks
Across a narrow couch,
Saying more than words?
Is love
A moment?
A feeling?
A memory?
A mere glance?
None of those.
Love...
True love
Hurts worse than any weapon.
True love
Is looking into the eyes
Of that perfect someone,
And telling...
Demanding...
Pleading...
Begging them to say
Those three words.
Telling them they
Know it's true...
Telling them to confess
The same feelings
You have for them..
Do you know the pain
Of love?
I do.
I felt it
The day I told him
To say
"I love you"...
To someone else.
