A Duncan Thanksgiving Special
It was around thanks giving and the Duncan family where going to Miami to see Amy's sister Jamie, known as Aunt Jamie to the kids. "PJ, Teddy, Gabe, Charlie"! Amy called for her children. "Let's go I don't want to miss our flight." Amy said. And they got in Amy's Chevrolet Suburban. They arrived at the airport in Denver and luckily the got to the plane on time. Since the family had a lot of kids, Amy called roll just to be sure no one was missing. And when everyone was present they boarded the plane. The flight from Colorado to Florida felt like it was forever. And after what felt like years they landed in Florida. They got a taxi and landed at Jamie's apartment. Jamie Blankenhooper, who was unmarried and single, looked like Amy and Gabe combined , and at age 36 she was 2 years older than Amy. She had brown/black hair cut in a bob. She looked just like Amy everyone said that but to no avail Amy did not believe them. After coming to Denver and making up with Amy the both agreed this would be good for both of them. She and Bob Diddlebock dated for a week after she visited Denver then they broke up. And wanting to lead a healthier life she bought a condo in Miami. Lucky her she lived right by the beach. "Oh my gosh Gabe, Charlie, Toby, Teddy , PJ"! "Oh my , you all have gotten so big since I last saw you, Amy these kids are growing to fast!" Amy chuckled. "Ok kids NO more growing up, I mean it!" Jamie said. And everyone laughed. "And Bob, you've lost weight"! Jamie said. "Thanks, Gabe's tormenting got me inspired". Bob said. Everyone laughed except Gabe. It was the day before turkey day and every was tired and it was going to be a big day and everyone fell asleep. The next day Thursday, Charlie woke up first, turned on the television and put it on the annual parade and enjoyed all the floats and performances, next Teddy and Gabe who both got a bowl of cereal and watched the parade with Charlie ,then a very heavy sleeper PJ got up ,and finally Bob, Amy , Jamie and Toby were up. Everyone pitched in the cooking which was all day. PJ on the turkey and stuffing topped with gravy , Charlie and Toby set the table, Teddy made the pumpkin pie, and Gabe made some fruit punch and mashed potatoes in which PJ helped him with since he was only 15 and still learning. And the adults assisted. Finally thanksgiving dinner was ready and everyone pitched in. "This is delicious" Amy and Bob said in unison. And they all enjoyed a happy day together. "Let's hope it's peaceful like this at Christmas" Teddy said
