The Kiss

Nothing felt more tiring than pulling a heavy van caved in ice across a stone path, but Murray had no trouble with the will of getting his prize van to safety. He looked over to his friend, Chloe. He was grateful for sticking by him; his heart nearly skipped a beat when he noticed her beauty that he only noticed when she relaxed in his arms when sharing a romantic dance in Holland. She was only half a foot shorter than him, long brunette hair and hazel eyes. He eyed the small locket he gave to her out on the balcony, he mind remembered the sunset and clouds rolling across the sky. He only wished that he stayed to see the look on her face as she opened the small gift.

A sweat drop rolled down his forehead, down the side of his face and landed on his hand. He could see a small cave just below the Safe House as a perfect place to store the van.

"C'mon Murray, we can do this!" Chloe reassured him. Her willful words gave him a spark of strength, just enough to pull the van into the cave.

Stepping out of the small cave, Murray noticed Chloe catching her breath from the event prior. Her lips seemed tempting to him, she wore no make up to hide anything, like her personality. She never hid anything from any of her friends, he just wished he could one day curl up with her on the sofa, kiss her and tell her what he most truly desired. To be with her, but what about Sly? He knew Sly trusted him but what if he and Chloe developed something?

Murray was thinking way to fast.

"Thanks for the help, Chloe," He said a smile tugging at his maw. She smiled back and replied.

"No problem!" Murray watched her lips create each word. He couldn't control him self. He gripped her by the shoulders and meshed his lips against hers.

There was no denying it, in some way he wanted it to happen, but at the same time didn't want to express himself to her in this way. He wandered if she saw it coming, first the necklace, then the dance, now the kiss! The fact was, she didn't! She thought the first two things were all in friendship. But she enjoyed her first kiss.

Murray felt something banging hard against his chest. He thought it was his heart but it was Chloe's.

Murray's head slanted side ways as did Chloe's. They stepped further into a more passionate kiss then expected. Chloe, still deep within the kiss, lifted her cap that rested on her head and wrapped her arms around the back of Murray's neck. She felt his tongue gently invite itself into her muzzle. Usually she would have come back down to earth by now but it felt so right to stay. Murray loosened his grip on Chloe and held her close, resting his hands on her hips.

One person was watching them all along, a small smile tugged at his maw once he saw the two kissing. Letting go of the certain, he congratulated his sister and best friend on what looked like a new journey, for them both.
