Hello, this is my second Atlantis fic and it just came to me when watching the episode again and looking at the character reactions. Hope you enjoy.

She was angry; really angry and it scared him.
"Elizabeth?" he called after her as she made her way towards her office. Walking through the door after her, he asked again.
"Elizabeth?" he said a little more calmly as he came to a stop behind her. She spun on her heel to face him.
"What do you want Major?" she said angrily, slightly condescending.
"What? I know you don't like this idea but what was I supposed to do they appeared helpless and we were just trying to impress them to get food! I'm sorry it didn't turn out so simple-," He said his voice rising.
"Major Sheppard, we did not set out to become arms dealers!" She said raising her voice to match his. The shocked look on his face made her pause. Realising that things were not going to get resolved if they carried on like this she said in a soft voice, "sorry that didn't come out right".
"Same here, I know you were just trying to show who was in charge." He replied in his normal tone of voice.
"John, I trust you, you know that… it's just not what we set out for. I don't want to make an enemy that can deliver atomic bombs. All I'm saying is be cautious!" she said looking directly at him with a certain amount of authority in her voice.
"I'll try my best to stay out of trouble. I promise." He said a small smile appearing on his face.
"What?" she said biting her lip, "To try or to actually stay out of trouble?" she said a grin on her face and her eyebrow arched.
"Elizabeth!" he said sarcastically with a mock hurt face.
"Go. Get out of here. They will be expecting you back." She said shooing him out of her office. As he reached the door she called out, "and John… be careful," a genuine look of concern on her face.
"Yes mom!" he said a cheeky grin lighting up his face as he walked to the control room and told them to dial up the gate.
Elizabeth walked over to the window in her office overlooking the gate. Just before John stepped through he looked up and grinned, with a wave he stepped through leaving Elizabeth standing there with a smile on her face and shaking her head. 'What had she gotten into?'

John rested his hands on the railing looking out at the ocean. The door behind him opened and she walked over taking up the same pose next to him.
"Sorry I got us in trouble" John said sincerely.
"Hey-," she said covering his hand with hers "it wasn't you fault." she said giving his hand a small squeeze. John looked down still not convinced "it wasn't your fault," she said again trying to convince him, "you're all back and none of you landed in the infirmary, we will deal with them if we have to later!" she said looking directly at him as he had turned to face her. He turned his hand over under hers so that their fingers were interlaced.
"Yeah I know," he said a fake smile briefly crossing his features.
"Now come on I need dinner and so do you," she said pulling on his hand to move him away from the railings.
"I thought that was my line!" he said to her smiling as he squeezed her hand before they reached the door to the control room and let go of each other.
"Yeah well I just commandeered it!" she said with a grin, opening the door and walking on. He stood there for a second.
"You commandeered it?" He asked after her, a laugh in his voice as he ran to catch up. She just turned to him and smiled as they disappeared down the stairs.
I love sparky, let it live on forever. Bring back Elizabeth Weir.
