The light fades up in a brand new heart

First page of a manuscript

Not complete but full of life

A life that struggles on

Placing her head softly against his frigid chest, she closed her eyes in time for the lyrics to be sung; ones that were rapidly hitting close to her heart. She was reluctantly aware that this was it; that this was their last dance. The last dance before he planned to leave her behind and start anew in the City of Angels. Circling her arms around his waist, she breathed a sigh of infinite sadness, her mind reeling with memories of them together throughout the years.

Moments later, she released her hold from her beloved to retrieve an item that she kept pocketed in her leather jacket; an item that she knew would be protected forever when the moment they were in would come to a complete end. The claddaugh ring; the very same one he had given her long ago, before he had lost his soul to their one moment of happiness. She had never forgotten it's meaning.

Seems like the drama never ends

And there are still words untold

The easy parts seem so far away

So far away

"The hands represent friendship, the crown loyalty, and the heart, well, you know," He had once said.

She would never forget that particular moment. For a minute, it had brought a simple smile on her lips, until she no longer had the strength to hold the sadness and the potential tears that were threatening to spill to herself. She glanced up, peering into the dark, soulful eyes of the man that she loved. That she still loved. Almost immediately, she sensed that he was thinking the same.

Still alone on the stage

I've played my tragic parts

Now I'm just waiting for the end

The end that takes me away

Looks like the last page is reached

And the lights is fading out

But the show must keep on going

And the show goes on

With the song almost nearing it's end, the lovers slowly began to loosen their hold on each other, locking their soulful gazes on only themselves, leaving their surroundings behind, until it was just the two of them. It was time for the last goodbye.

My own play, my own play

The show has reached the end

The curtains closing down

Before he could turn and exit the door to the Bronze, his cold lips quickly brushed against hers, until their passion was almost too much to be contained. He cupped her face, then glanced down, gently caressing her claddaugh ring that mirrored the one he wore, placing a small kiss against the cold, silver metal, then to her lips once more before he released her hand and spun towards the exit; her tearing eyes lingering on him.

And then, without another word, he was gone.

My own play, my own play

The show has reached the end

The curtains closing down
