People said that I was crazy for wanting to join the Survey Corps, But I had my reasons….. One, I wanted to prove them wrong. People say that we are all going to die….. That the Titans will eat us all and that there is no stopping them…. but I will prove them wrong… I will defeat the Two… I have no where else to go now….
"We will be arriving at the Survey Corps Field house in 4 hours…..when we arrive you will all walk out in a single file line, talk with the captain, then walk to the barracks."
The man who was talking to us, I believe his name was Reiner Braun, sat back down and continued to talk with a few of the other recruits. After about another ten minutes of daydreaming Braun walked up to me.
"Captain Levi has requested that you stay at the back of the line."
"Me?"
"Yes... for some reason he would like to have a word with you." He started to get a questioning look. "Wait... no, nevermind... it's not my place to question the Captain...just be ready."
He turned to leave just as I grabbed his arm.
"Wait."
"What?"
"I've heard stories about the Capitan."
"What kind of stories?"
"Well...I've heard he is a nice and caring person, but...I think those are lies. All of the things he has done and seen...he's got to be More like an Apple."
"An Apple?"
"Yes… on the outside he looks nice but I bet that hes is rotting away on the inside."
He gets a quick smirk and quickly makes it dissolve. "Your a smart kid...(under his breath.) Levi is going to like you."
"PETRA!"
"Yes sir?"
" Are the recruits rooms ready?"
"Yes Sir….. but about the one that you had me make?"
"Yes that one is for a special recruit. According to his reports he graduated at the top of his class."
"Really… is he anything like you or Ackerman?"
"Yes.. but he has some flaws."
"Flaws?"
"Yes.. two major ones in fact. He gets into fights easily with his male peers."
"Only males?"
"Yes"
"That could be bad in battle."
"See, that's the thing. in battle he will work with anyone just so long as the Titan dies." "Intresting."
"And apparently they say that he possesses a strong will and incredible combat skills."
"But you don't believe that do you?"
"No, i believe it's because of what he went through…"
"And what was that?"
"Well when wall Maria fell he was with his family in one of the towns that resides in the mountains. and they never received word of the attack because people were still fleeing the wall at the time. they never knew a thing until the Titans were upon them… All we have are reports of what happened… but even with 5 people to verify it, it's hard to believe…
"What happened?"
"From what we heard… A Titan ate both of his parents and his younger brother right in front of him…"
"That has happened to alot of people so what makes him any different?"
"Petra….. what does someone do when that happens to them?"
"They shut down and run away"
"Yes, well… he took a different approach"
"Really… how?"
Levi looked up into the sky. "Well we don't know for sure but one of the scouting groups found a Titan pinned to the ground with spikes through it's hands, feet and eyes… He was found nearby unconscious and with 3 mutilated bodies near him…"
Petra looked away as if to imagine the scene then a dark look came over her face. "D...do you think that he could have…."
"I don't know but if he is anything like Jaeger or Leonhart than we could use him…"
"... Sooo… about his bed…..?"
Levi starts to laugh. "Well he is afraid of girls"
"So that's the flaw?"
"Yes…. and i'm going to give him hell for it…"
